Walking is a natural human right and the most basic and traditional way of travel.It has inherent advantages in accessibility,flexibility and travel cost.With the development of green,low-carbon,smart growth,stock planning,sustainable development and other urban construction concepts,urban transportation development is gradually returning to "human nature".People's attention on walking city has changed from "there is a road to walk" to "decent walking".At present,the concept of walking city construction is gradually returning and changing from "car-oriented" to "people-oriented".At the same time,people put forward a higher spiritual pursuit for the quality of walking environment on the basis of material needs.In addition,the significance of walking for physical and mental health,urban health and social health is more recognized.The exploration and achievement of walking-related theories lay a solid theoretical foundation for the study of walking-friendly streets.Pedestrian city construction is strongly supported by the policy level.Under the trend of fine management and construction,urban streets are gradually transforming into "humanized" streets.Existing studies on walkability mainly focus on the two perspectives of index system and subjective evaluation,and there are few studies on the spatial form of walkability streets from the perspective of walking behavior.First of all,to understand the academic research background related to the research,review and sort out the relevant research at home and abroad.This paper expounds the relationship between walking subject,walking environment and walking behavior,and reclassifies walking activity types based on the state and demand degree of walking behavior.This paper analyzes the generation mechanism of walkability and summarizes it into three stages: perception,cognition and feedback.Based on the review of relevant studies on environmental behavior,this paper expounds the relationship between walking behavior and sensory scale,spatial distribution and psychological needs,and summarizes the correlation between walking behavior and "morphology-scale-nature" of walking space.On this basis,the technical route of " morphological-quantification-qualitative" three-determination comprehensive analysis is constructed to lay a foundation for further research and analysis.Secondly,based on Corso Garibaldi,Corso di Porta Ticinese,Via Fiori Chiari,Corso Como,Via Abramo Lincoln,Nankai Street,Jianzhu Road,Daping Main Street of the eight main street pedestrian-friendly as samples on the streets of case studies.The methods of field investigation,image recording,map survey,shape diagram and behavior annotation were used to analyze the basic information characteristics of selected street samples,shape structure diagram,key shape structure data extraction and spatial distribution of walking behavior annotation.Combined with the relationship between walking behavior and the "form-scale-nature" of walking space,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the "morphological-quantification-qualitative" of walking behavior space.The simulation analysis summarizes the pedestrian friendly street shape design model which includes five aspects: traffic space,stay space,compatibility space,street interface and space organization.Then,based on the pedestrian friendly street form design model summarized above,an empirical study was carried out on the streets in the pedestrian complex area of huahai road in the comprehensive improvement of the environmental landscape of sugang area of daliang street in shunde district as an example.Expound the background of the case selection and the status of the street.The walking activities of streets were investigated and sorted out,and the morphological structure diagrams and key morphological structure data were extracted for the street space.From five aspects of traffic space,residence space,compatibility space,street interface and space organization,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the "form-scale-nature" of the street,discusses and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the street walkability building in the area of huahai road pedestrian complex.Finally,the research content and results of this paper are summarized and extended to discuss the applicability,scientificity and extensibility of the research on the form design of walkable friendly streets from the perspective of walking behavior.
