| Railway ballast bears the load from the track,which is the basis of supporting the safe train running.Shuohuang Railway is a special line for coal transportation.With the operation of the railway line,the coal ash and cinder carried by the train and the dust along it will invade the ballast and cause ballast fouling.Under the function of train load and line maintenance and construction,the ballast deformation will also occur,which will lead to the insufficient thickness of the ballast.These two phenomena will lead to the deterioration of the quality of the railway line,.In serious cases,it will cause train shaking and even endanger the safety of train running.Therefore,feasible means are needed to detect the change of fouling and thickness of ballast.At present,the ground penetrating radar equipment used by Shuohuang Railway Company can detect the thickness of ballast.However,in terms of ballast fouling detection,the existing detection results are based on European and American railway and models,and are not applicable to the actual situation of Shuohuang Railway.This leads to three problems.First,the "manual inspection" can only be used in the general survey of ballast fouling,whichis slow and contain few detection points.Secondly,the maintenance plan of ballast cleaning can only implement the mode of "periodic repair",which will result in "overmaintenance" and "undermaintenance" in ballast cleaning.Thirdly,we can only rely experience to check the quality of cleaning before acceptance,without quantitative means of evaluation.In view of the above situation,Shuohuang Railway Company conducts special experimental research,and applies the research results to the actual maintenance,and achieves good results.The application research in this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Research on ballast fouling.In the main line of Shuohuang Railway,the test points are selected for manualballast excavation.According to standard used in China,the correlation between the ballast fouling rateand ballast fouling index is preliminarily determined.A special ballast fouling calibration line was built,and use ground penetrating radar to detecte ballast fouling index,to compare with the actual fouling rate.Finally,the corresponding relationship between the index and the rate is determined by using the test data,and thestandard of ballast fouling grade coal transportation special line is determined.(2)Use ground penetrating radar to detect and evaluate ballast condition.Based on the results above,the paper uses ground penetrating radar todetect the ballast fouling and thickness index,andevaluates the state of ballast,andrealize the general survey of ballast fouling.It can find out the pollution of ballast and the inadequate ballast area,so as to provide basis for maintenance operations such as ballast cleaning and supplementary ballast.(3)Evaluation of ballast cleaning quality.The feasibility of ground penetrating radar(GPR)in evaluating the cleaning quality was studied through field investigation on Shuohuang Railway.Combining with industry standards,the construction quality of ballast cleaning construction is checked and accepted with test data. |
