Since the beginning of the development of China’s railway, it has been more than a century of time. As of 2015, China has built the world’s second largest railway network after the US, including more than 12,000 kilometers high-speed railway operating mileage. And the length of china’s high-speed railway is over half of the world’s high-speed railway length. As the national important infrastructure, the artery of national economic development, railway transportation is becoming a popular way of traffic and transport way of goods. With the progress of the society and the development of economy in our country, the railway transport is becoming much faster, more train load, higher line efficiency. Therefore the track on ballast bed deformation, dirt, ballast grinding is more and more serious as to impact. In order to ensure the safety and improve the speed of the train we have to do ballast cleaning operation, when the bed conditions deteriorate to a certain extent. As to the increase of railway transport efficiency, the time of "windows" is much shorter than before, so giant machines,which have highly efficiency, reliable, low cost and convenient must be used to finish the maintenance work. QS2-650 ballast cleaning machine is made by Hubei Xiangfan Golden Eagle Company, which was design by our country completely. It can complete the track pulling, leveling, ballast mining, screening, backfill and pollutant discharge work. But when the machine is in applying.It usually can’t move when ballast is concreted. So the cleaning work stopped. To solve this problem, the article analyzes the machine’s power transmission train and with actual use of the wheel "slipping" situation concludes that the case is not caused by power and transmission train system. In order to find main reason of this problem happen and solve it. The article introduces ballast cleaning machine traction formation and calculates its work resistance. By calculation results we know that work resistance is the most part of the machine traveling resistance. When the machine work on good track conditions it works normally but when the ballast compacted seriously, the wheel of the machine will be slip on the trail. For this reason the article study bulk solid track bed and compacted track bed. As to the structure of this two kinds of track bed is different completely, so the machine work resistant have a lot difference. When the track bed ballast compacted seriously, the machine need more tractive effort to keep walking. At the same time, the vibration of the engine and transmission and the screen also have bad affection on machine’s work traction. The article uses the AMESim software to simulate the system and at the end calculate the effect of vibration on system. Finally, the author proposes a solution to the problem and analyzes it to verify the calculation solves this problem.
