While urban rail transit in China is in the ascendant,15 cities in our country continent district have operated urban rail lines over 100 km.The structure of the urban rail transit system has evolved from single-line to network system intertwined or interconnected each other.The network operation management of urban rail transit system is only in the infancy stage.Beijing and Shanghai are the earliest cities in China to carry on network operation of urban rail transit.However,the network operation of the urban rail transit system covers varies aspects,and the related theories are not perfect.Especially,the research of network transit plan theory is still in the preliminary stage.Crew planning is an essential part and the key to transit plan guarantee which determines the efficiency of crew utilization.Meanwhile,crew costs account for a large rate of the urban rail transit operating costs.Therefore,optimizing crew planning to improve crew utilization efficiency could save labor cost and also helpful to the operation efficiency of urban rail transit.Nowadays,the crew planning only placed the crew tasks of a single line in urban rail transit system,which couldn't guarantee the balance of crew tasks among different lines of network,nor can it effectively play the advantages of scale effect under the condition of network.Consequently,based on the existing research,this paper put forward the method of crew planning for urban rail transit under the network operation,including balanced assignment of multi-line crew pairing and multi-line crew rostering.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)The paper analyzed network operation of urban rail transit which is explained by the two typical examples of network operation urban rail transit in Tokyo,Japan and Shanghai,China,and the theory of operation organization.The concepts and interrelationships of various transit plans of urban rail transit were elaborated to explain the importance of the crew planning and to lead to the Definition and important principles of crew planning of urban rail transit on network operation,(multi-line crew Pairing and multi-line crew Rostering).(2)This paper discussed the content and impacts of crew planning of urban rail transit on network operation,analysed the characteristics of it,and clarified its key issues,namely crew scheduling plan and crew rostering plan with emphasis on balanced allocation of multi-line crew Pairing and multi-line crew Rostering respectively.(3)This paper summarized the differences of the optimization model and algorithm among railway,urban rail transit on single-line operation and Urban Rail Transit under the condition of network.Based on the existing research on crew planning of Urban rail transit on single-line operation,this paper analyzed the differences between single-line operation and networked operation from two aspects involved crew scheduling plan and crew rostering plan.And established the optimization set partition model and genetic algorithm of crew scheduling of urban rail transit on network operation.(4)Taking Chengdu metro line 2 and line 7 as examples to verified the advantages of making crew planning method of urban rail transit on networked operation and to summarize the characteristics of multi-line crew pairing,and multi-line crew rostering.
