With the rapid development of China’s economy,as an important social public service facility, there are 100 million urban road lighting street lamps in China, accounting for 10% of the total power consumption of the country, which is equivalent to the total power generation of the Three Gorges in one year, accounting for 30% of the total power consumption of lighting, more than seven times the annual power generation of Daya Bay nuclear power plant, which wastes about 35% of the power every year. The traditional lighting system uses time-controlled switch and manual management, which lags behind. It also needs to send a special person to inspect, and the maintenance cost is high.It is inconvenient for people to travel because they can’t get timely and effective information feedback or deal with the malfunction in time when they encounter the sudden malfunction of street lamp. And street lighting will produce huge power consumption, increase the financial burden, but also easy to cause light pollution, energy saving and emission reduction has become an important goal of economic construction. With the development of society and the improvement of science and technology, the control mode and energy-saving lamps and lanterns are progressing continuously.Since the Ministry of Housing and Construction launched 193 "Smart City" pilot projects and "Ten Cities and Ten Thousands" activities, the lighting management system with wireless technology as the core can make the management more intuitive, easy and scientific by combining with GIS technology. And through the Internet of Things for information control, will greatly improve management efficiency, energy saving and cost reduction, there is great potential for development.Based on a thorough understanding of the current research situation at home and abroad, this paper designs and implements a wireless lighting control system based on GIS in detail based on the overall objectives, basic principles and ideas of the system. The software isdeveloped with the framework of system requirement analysis as the software platform and with the support of completing the functional requirement analysis and performance requirement analysis of the lighting system. This paper clarifies the relationship between spatial data and business data, deeply studies the geocoding subsystem, uses the combination of charts and ArcGIS maps, uses UML method to model, and establishes the static and dynamic system model. It includes the whole design of control system, system function design, system architecture design, database design, deployment architecture design and so on.The graphical and visual management of lighting terminal equipment is realized on the computer, which makes the management of urban lighting system more humane, intelligent and automated. In order to improve management efficiency, eliminate hidden safety hazards, effectively reduce the maintenance intensity and management difficulty of managers, and improve the level of urban lighting management,it is feasible to integrate communication technology,GIS information system,Internet of Things technology, network technology and database technology into wireless lighting control systemThis paper focuses studies WebGIS technology and wireless networking technology such as Zigbee,on the design and implementation of wireless lighting control system based on GIS,and builds the platform.Software platform mainly includes lighting management, home page display, system configuration management, map monitoring, etc.Taking the road lighting data Province as the experimental background, the function test and performance test of the wireless lighting control system are carried out.The system has played an active role in road lighting in.
