ECDIS is the main auxiliary tool in the maritime field.It is mainly used for ship monitoring,ship navigation and port administration.The authenticity and security of electronic navigation chart data transmission and update are very important for the safe navigation of ships.The electronic navigation chart data updating methods are mainly divided into two categories:manual update and automatic update.In order to prevent the illegal copying and dissemination of electronic navigation chart data during the update process,the safety and economy of ships and electronic navigation chart data service providers are seriously damaged.The International Hydrographic Organization has launched S-63 electronic navigation chart data protection standard.However,with the advent of the era of big data,the transmission and update of electronic chart data information has also increased dramatically.The DSA digital signature technology involved in the S-63 electronic chart data protection solution cannot meet the security of data signal transmission and update.Efficient and real-time requirements,and the bandwidth requirements are getting higher and higher.In addition,with the improvement of the intelligent level of the ship,the electronic chart data will be transmitted and updated online,replacing the traditional manual update method.As a new generation communication system under the e-Navigation framework,VDES will become the main communication means of electronic navigation chart services.However,the current VDES electronic navigation chart service lacks a corresponding data guarantee mechanism and cannot guarantee the security and credibility of online transmission and update of electronic chart data.In order to solve this problem,this paper uses ECC encryption technology and digital signature technology which are safe,efficient and has lower bandwidth requirements,which effectively improves the security,efficiency and bandwidth of S-63 electronic chart data protection scheme.At the same time,a security mechanism is established for VDES's electronic navigation chart service to ensure the security and credibility of electronic chart data transmission and update.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Focusing on the S-63 electronic navigation chart data protection scheme standard issued by IHO,the paper summarizes the compression of electronic navigation chart data,the encryption of data and the verification of data in the S-63 data protection scheme.;(2)Based on the S-63 standard data protection scheme,the S-63 standard data protection scheme was optimized by using ECC digital signature algorithm.Experiments proved that the performance,efficiency and security of the ECC digital signature algorithm is better than that of the DSA digital signature algorithm.(3)Due to the open nature of VDES,in order to ensure the security and credibility of electronic chart data service in VDES,this paper designed an electronic chart update guarantee mechanism based on AES and ECC according to the characteristics of VDES,and developed an electronic chart data transmission protocol based on the characteristics of electronic chart information data.Finally,the security and credibility of electronic chart data transmission and update in VDES were verified by experiments.This paper fully combined the advantages of ECC algorithm and AES algorithm to ensure the performance,efficiency and security of manual updating and automatic updating of electronic chart data.
