Power batteries have been widely used in the new energy automotive industry due to their high density energy,high voltage platform,low pollution and even no pollution.However,the high-energy-density power battery is easily crushed,puncture,etc.in an accident,causing fire and explosion accidents,causing irreparable damage to people's lives and property safety,which greatly restricts its development.In recent years,successive explosions have led people to shift the research focus of power batteries from cruising range to safety performance.Many vehicle manufacturers and power battery manufacturers are paying more and more attention to battery safety performance improvement methods.The power battery is the core of the energy supply of new energy vehicles,and its safe operation plays a vital role in vehicle safety.This paper first summarizes and analyzes the research results of researchers at home and abroad in improving the safety performance of power batteries,as well as the research results of performance evaluation of various aspects of batteries,introduces the basic classification,structure and working principle of power batteries,and summarizes and analyzes them.The development of national standards and systems related to the safety performance of power batteries.Then statistics and analysis of 55 new energy vehicle battery fire accidents in China,a systematic qualitative and quantitative analysis of power battery safety accidents,from the perspective of common battery accidents and safety accident prevention,using causal analysis and failure mode analysis The actual causes of various safety accidents of the power battery,the severity of the accident,the frequency of the accident,and the degree of damage of the safety accident are analyzed and ranked.From the perspective of the inherent safety of the battery,the safety performance evaluation system of the power battery is given.The relative and absolute performance evaluation of the safety performance of the battery is performed,and the batteries are sorted according to the evaluation results.Finally,a new evaluation method for comprehensive performance of power battery is proposed for battery selection.Firstly,the Gaussian value function is used to standardize the performance index data of all aspects of the power battery,which avoids the problem that the linear transformation data information is easy to be lost.Then,the weighted geometric average model is used to aggregate the performance index scores into a comprehensive performance index.It avoids the problem that the high-divided index and the low-scoring indicator are mutually concealed after the aggregation of each indicator in the commonly used weighting model.Finally,based on the safety performance,economic performance,environmental performance and technical parameters performance,the power battery evaluation system is analyzed and summarized.Six kinds of different types of power batteries are taken as examples to study the absolute evaluation of the environmental performance of the power battery and the comprehensive performance of the battery.The relative evaluation and absolute evaluation,the comprehensive performance score of the battery in the evaluation results verified the rationality of the evaluation method.The power battery comprehensive performance evaluation framework and evaluation method not only help the power battery manufacturer to optimize various performances of the battery from the sources of materials selection,design and process,but also provide an intuitive way for users and new energy automobile companies to purchase batteries.As a comparison and reference,the comprehensive performance score of the battery indirectly forces the power battery manufacturer to develop and improve the safety performance and technical parameter performance of the battery.Finally,the evaluation model can be applied not only to evaluate the safety performance of power batteries,but also to comprehensively evaluate the performance of other complex electromechanical systems.
