Signalized intersections are the key to affecting the capacity of urban roads,while left-turning traffic is the key to affecting the capacity of signalized intersections.In order to improve the traffic capacity of the intersection,many left-turn traffic organizations have been created,and reversible left turn lane method is one of them.In order to determine the advantages of this method,this paper makes a related study based on its influence on the traffic capacity of signalized intersections.Based on the influence of left-turn traffic flow at the domestic signalized intersection,which leads to the low efficiency of left-turn traffic,based on the research on the organization and capacity of left-turning at home and abroad,the content of this paper needs to be studied.Summarize the corresponding technical route.Based on this,the following research was mainly made:1.The arrival mode of the left-turning vehicle at the signalized intersection is determined.According to the analysis of the conflict point of the signalized intersection,the traffic capacity calculation model of the intersection under four different signal control schemes is obtained.2.According to the queuing theory model,the premise of the reversible left turn lane setting is studied in terms of the number of left-turning vehicles,the left-turn dedicated phase,the number of corresponding exit lanes,the turning radius of the left-turning vehicle,and the opening position of the road centerline.3.According to the road attributes of reversible left-turn lane method,it is divided into two types:borrowing the adjacent opposite lane scheme and borrowing the straight-line lane scheme in this direction,and studying the channelization mode of each scheme.4.The borrowing lane lengths of the two schemes of the reversible left turn lane method are studied separately,and the lane width and the number of left-turn lanes to be set are analyzed.5.According to the study of the opening and closing time of the main signal and the pre-signal,two key time calculation models of the left-turning scheme are obtained,and the corresponding signal timing scheme is given accordingly.6.According to the case analysis of a signalized intersection in Dalian,the lane emission ratio and capacity of the traditional design model and the reversible left turn lane method are calculated,and the results are compared and analyzed.7.According to the traffic micro-simulation software Vissim,the traditional design model and the reversible left-turn lane method are used to simulate the intersection,and the intersections are analyzed according to the set evaluation index and phase timing.Through the above research on the reversible left-turn lane method,it is used to effectively improve the left-turn traffic capacity of the signalized intersection.And the use of the straight-line lane scheme in this direction was better than the borrowing of the adjacent opposite lane scheme.According to the channelization conditions and the preconditions of the reversible left-turn lane method,the paper obtains the applicable conditions of the reversible left-turn lane method,which has a certain guiding effect on solving the left-turn traffic problem at the actual intersection.
