Research On EPC Project Contract Risk Management

The traditional construction contracting mode has been developed in China for a long time,and there are mature technology production modes.However,the traditional construction contracting mode is fragmented and the responsibilities are unknown.As a result,the participating parties often push and push each other.Moreover,the interests in different construction subjects Conflicts to make it more difficult for owners to coordinate.In this form,in recent years,China's EPC general contracting model has developed rapidly.The EPC model is dominated by design,integrating design,procurement,and construction,closely connecting the main links with engineering construction,and reducing the dispersion of construction projects.However,the EPC model is contracted by the general contractor throughout the process,so the returns are higher and the risks are higher.The general contractor's disputes and disputes caused by improper contract risk management is not uncommon.Therefore,the research of EPC projects contract analysis and management is of great significance to the general contractor's risk management.Based on the related research background and the research results of different scholars,this paper studies the EPC contract risk management based on the theoretical basis of EPC contract risk management,and analyzes actual cases.This article first summarizes the relevant literature,clarifies the research content and research route,and summarizes and analyzes the relevant theoretical basis of EPC project contract risk management,analyzes the current status of the implementation of EPC contracts in China and the main problems,and proposes an overall response from four perspectives measures.Introduced the method of risk identification and established the initial risk list of EPC project contracts;studied three different contract templates for the internationally accepted EPC template "FIDIC Contract(Silver Book)",the model text of the EPC contract issued in China and the traditional construction contract,Perform risk comparison from the aspects of economy,technology and management,analyze the risk difference between the three,and provide a basis for the selection of the general contractor's contract type;Combining fuzzy hierarchy and set-pair analysis models to evaluate contract risks,and on the basis of contract risk identification and analysis,establish a scientific and reasonable risk evaluation system.Finally,through actual case analysis,the effectiveness of EPC contract risk management was verified.Through research and analysis,the corresponding risk countermeasures for contract risk management of general contractors are proposed,which provide the basis for contract risk management,reduce the occurrence of risk accidents,improve the efficiency of contract risk management,and provide a certain reference for general contractors to carry out EPC contract risk management.
