With the rapid development of China's transportation industry,the phenomenon of heavy load,overload and canalized traffic is becoming more and more serious,and pavement diseases such as rutting,cracks and pits are gradually exposed.The traditional petroleum asphalt has been difficult to meet the current transportation requirements.Modified asphalt has become an effective mean to solve pavement diseases.Although PE can obviously improve the viscosity and the high-temperature deformation resistance of asphalt,but the effect of improving the low temperature performance of asphalt is not obvious.Crumb rubber can effectively improve the high-temperature performance and the low-temperature performance of asphalt,but affected by the amount of crumb rubber,the crumb rubber can not fully show its improvement effect of asphalt.Considering the characteristics of these two modifiers and the current black pollution problem caused by waste tires,the PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt was produced with different contents of crumb rubber,PR-Module,respectively.This article focuses on the rheology and microscopic characteristics of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt.According to the test results,the paper explores the pavement performance of asphalt mixture..The main research contents are as follows:(1)The preparation process parameters including adding order,shearing time and preparation temperature were determined with PG grade result.(2)Using viscosity test to understand the construction workability of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt.The rheological properties of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt were investigated by using the dynamic shear rheometer and bending beam rheometer tests,and the multiple stress creep recovery test was performed to evaluate the resistance to permanent deformation of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt.(3)The thermogravimetric analysis test was performed to obtain the thermal decomposition temperature of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt.The fourier transform infrared spectroscopy test was conducted to explore the chemical reaction during the preparation of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt.The distribution state of PR-Module/crumb rubber composite modified asphalt was investigated by using fluorescence microscopy.(4)The high temperature stability and water stability of asphalt mixtures including dry and wet processes were compared through the wheel tracking test and Immersion Marshall Test.
