Air cushion is a new type of cushion packaging material with good economic,environmental protection and cushioning performance.Mainly used in electronic products,fragile products,such as the inner protective packaging,has gradually replaced foam plastics,become the mainstream of the cushioning packaging form.In this paper,the mechanical properties of high-elastic plastic film materials and the cushioning properties of air cushion are studied by the combination of test and numerical simulation.The energy absorption mechanism of air cushion is expounded,and the design method of cushion packaging is put forward based on the classical brittle value theory system.The mechanical properties of the air cushion film were tested and analyzed,and the peeling strength test was performed on the sealing portion of the air cushion film.The study found that the sealing strength of the air cushion film was greater than the tensile strength of the air cushion film.The test data provide material parameters for numerical simulation based on the general-purpose nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS.The cushioning energy absorption characteristics of air cushion were analyzed by static compression experiment,and the influence of different charging pressure on cushioning performance of air cushion was discussed.The research shows that the higher the inflatable pressure of air cushion,the stronger the bearing capacity of air cushion.However,within a certain range,the smaller the inflation pressure,the greater the energy absorbed by the air cushion,and the better the buffering performance.The energy absorbed by a single chamber is basically the same as the average energy absorbed by each chamber in multiple Chambers.In addition,the loading speed has little effect on the cushioning performance of air cushion.The static compression simulation of air cushion is carried out by using finite element software.The energy absorbed in the process of air pad compression is decoupled into the deformation energy of the high elastic film and the absorption energy of the compressed air.The proposed air cushion energy absorption model is combined with the simulation results and compared with the experimental results.The results show that the proposed energy absorption model can well describe the energy change of air cushion film under static compression.The energy generated by the deformation of the air cushion film is much smaller than the energy absorbed by the internal compressed air due to the change of volume and pressure.Finally,according to the classical cushioning packaging design theory system,the design method of air cushion cushioning packaging based on the energy-force curve was proposed,and the dynamic drop simulation was carried out by the finite element method.
