The overexploitation of oil resources has led to an increasingly oil crisis.Searching and confirming the substitute for petroleum fuel has become an urgent issue for scientists.Meanwhile,as the economy and trading develop sharply,fuel demand has increased rapidly.At present,China has become the world's second largest oil consumer.The dependence on crude oil supply and imports has approached 50%,and the contradiction between supply and requirement is becoming increasingly acute.Biodiesel is a fatty acid ester compound obtained by esterification of animal fatty oil or vegetable oil with an alcohol compound under the action of catalysis.Compared with petroleum diesel oil,biodiesel is non-toxic,biodegradable,less polluting to soil and water,and is an environmentally friendly green fuel.Biodiesel is a high-quality green energy alternative to petroleum diesel.Vigorously developing biodiesel has important strategic significance for sustainable economic development and environmental pollution reduction,and is also accord with the low carbon economy development model advocated today.The development of the biodiesel industry has significant strategic meaning for enhancing China's oil security.The developed countries in the world,represented by Germany,the United States,and Japan,are vigorously developing the biodiesel industry.At present,the development and utilization of biodiesel in China is still in the basic research stage.The production is mainly based on the southern oil crops such as rapeseed oil,berberine,wood oil,jatropha seed oil,green eucalyptus and catering waste oil or so.Xanthoceras sorbifolia is a unique ecological and energetic tree species in China,which was listed as one of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” and mid long term key tree species in 2006.It has the characteristics of drought resistance,cold resistance,thinness resistance and salt and alkali resistance.The only biomass energy tree species suitable for development in the north is xanthoceras sorbifolia and has broad prospects.So far,xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel is in the stage of basic research and development,and few literatures can be used for reference.On the basis of summarizing the biodiesel production methods at home and abroad,the paper analyzed and summarized the problems in the existing preparation techniques.For xanthoceras sorbifolia has the characteristics of high free fatty acid content and water content and high degree of unsaturation in the fruit oil,the preparation of biodiesel by one-pot method using POMs catalyst was proposed,and the making process and preparation equipments were clarified.In this paper,the physical properties of xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel were studied from four aspects: density,viscosity,freezing point and pour point.The experimental results showed that the physical properties of xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel fully meet the requirements of being an excellent diesel substitute.According to the chemical properties of xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel,three aspects were tested: cetane number,flash point and molecular structure.The experiment results indicated that the chemical properties of xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel were fully meet the requirements for excellent diesel alternatives.The paper established the test system for the emission characteristics of the xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel vehicle,and developed the test procedure.According to the measurement methods specified by the national standards,the biodiesel with different mixing ratios of B0,B20,B40,B60,B80 and B100 was respectively carried out.The vehicle emission test collected the test data of CO2,CO,NOX,HC and O2 emissions in the exhaust gas when the load changes,and analyzed the variation law of each exhaust gas component with the engine load,and comprehensively considered the emissions vehicle emission law of exhaust gas of different mixing ratios of the crown rubber biodiesel.The Performance optimum mixing ratio was preferred,that is,the B80 mixing ratio of the xanthoceras sorbifolia biodiesel has the best vehicle emission performance.
