The belt and road initiative has greatly increased the seaborne freight volume of China's high-speed rail,large generator sets,large capacity transformers,nuclear power equipment,construction machinery and other items.Due to the large size and heavy weight of these cargo units,special attention should be paid to the problem of local strength in the carriage of goods by sea.In this paper,starting from the actual ship transportation,the local strength of the cargo unit carried by the general cargo ship is studied.At present,the uniform allowable load provided by ship data is mainly used to check the local strength in actual ship transportation.The projection area is mostly used in accounting.However,the safety of projection method can not be guaranteed due to the peculiar shape of cargo unit and the different contact shape with the bilge.Therefore,it is significant to study the applicability of this method which only gives uniform allowable load to check local strength.In this paper,ANSYS software is used to establish the finite element model which the cargo unit carried by the general cargo ship,and the cargo unit is classified according to the contact form between the cargo and the bottom plate.The parameters of the finite element model are set reasonably,and the dynamic load is applied considering the influence of ship motion.In this paper,the finite element model is used to study the local strength of the bilge when different cargo units are loaded on the bilge floor,and their stress nephograms are obtained.On this basis,the generator stator with planks dunnage and without dunnage is analyzed,and the relationship curve between the number of planks and the maximum stress is obtained.The influence of the stowage position on the local strength is obtained by studying the stowage position of the drum.The bearing areas of the drum and pressure vessel are obtained by analyzing the stress nephograms of the drum and pressure vessel.The results obtained in this paper can be used to guide the transportation of cargo unit carried by the general cargo ship and to guarantee the local strength.
