Nowadays,the space detection equipment has higher and higher requirement on the observation resolution and imaging quality,in order to satisfy this requirement,the optical system with much longer focal length and larger aperture is generally needed,so the lightweight large-aperture reflector is more and more popular for the designers.Therefore,the article proposes to use aluminum as the lightweight reflector materials.The aluminum reflector can use the existing mechanical processing method to build the body structure and use the single point diamond turning to process the optical mirrors,which makes it able to shorten the processing time and cost obviously and get polished mirror satisfying the application requirement of medium-long wave infrared range.Additionally,the aluminum reflector has lightweight design,and it can design optical and mechanical installation and adjusting structure and simplify the handling structure,and it really means a lot for the lightweight design of the whole optical-mechanical system.The article processes a detailed research on the aluminum reflector processing technology,including the research procedure on the aluminum reflector.With regarding to the stabilization on the reflector base size and the mirror turning,a series experiments are processed to get feasible clamping method,profiling parameters and cold and heat treatment processing.Chemistry modification is used to generate the Ni-P alloy coating,and finally,the aluminum reflector satisfying the application on the visible range is produced by applying the processing method combining the single point diamond turning and classical polishing.
