As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the principal contradiction facing society has turned into one between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people's ever-growing needs for a better life.In the face of the new development requirements of the new era,the current serious resource constraints and ecological environment problems have brought new challenges to people.In this context,to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption is to ease the constraints of energy and the environment,and is an important way to achieve economic transformation and development.Studies have shown that technological progress can effectively improve energy utilization efficiency,and OFDI as the main channel of international technology spillover is an important way to promote technological progress.With the acceleration of China's opening to the outside world,the structure and quality of OFDI have been continuously optimized.Under this background,it is of great significance to study the influence of OFDI reverse technology spillover on China's energy utilization efficiency.This paper mainly explores the influence of OFDI reverse technology overflow on energy utilization efficiency,including seven parts: the first chapter is introduction.This chapter mainly introduces the research background and research significance,research contents and research methods,technology roadmap,innovation points and shortcomings.The second chapter is literature review.This chapter reviews the existing literature from the aspects of energy utilization efficiency measurement,the influencing factors of energy utilization efficiency,the existence of OFDI reverse technology spillover,the mechanism of action of OFDI reverse technology spillover,the influencing factors of OFDI reverse technology spillover,and the influence of OFDI reverse technology spillover on energy utilization efficiency,which provides a solid theoretical basis for the follow-up research.The third chapter analyzes the mechanism of OFDI reverse technology overflow on energy utilization efficiency.This chapter analyzes themechanism of OFDI reverse technology spillover on energy utilization efficiency.Considering that inter-regional absorptive capacity will lead to regional differences in the effect of OFDI reverse technology spillover on energy utilization efficiency,economic development level and human capital are selected as proxy variables of absorptive capacity to analyze the impact of absorptive capacity on the effect.The fourth chapter analyzes the current situation of China's foreign direct investment and energy utilization.This chapter analyzes the current situation of China's OFDI and energy utilization,and summarizes the achievements and problems in OFDI and energy utilization.The fifth chapter is an empirical analysis of the influence of OFDI reverse technology spillover on China's energy utilization efficiency.Taking 30 provinces from 2007 to2017 as samples,this chapter empirically tested the impact of OFDI reverse technology spillovers on energy utilization efficiency from both national and regional levels using GMM estimation method.From a national perspective,OFDI reverse technology overflow significantly promoted the improvement of energy utilization efficiency,but from a subregional perspective,the effects of OFDI reverse technology overflow on energy utilization efficiency varied from region to region.In the eastern region,the reverse technology spillover has the largest promoting effect on energy utilization efficiency,followed by the central region.In the western region,the OFDI reverse technology spillover inhibits the improvement of energy utilization efficiency,but the result is not significant.The sixth chapter analyzes the causes of regional differences in the influence of OFDI reverse technology spillover on China's energy utilization efficiency.This chapter uses the threshold model,selects the level of economic development and human capital as the agent table of absorptive capacity,and analyzes the causes of regional differences from the perspective of absorptive capacity.The study found that the influence of OFDI reverse technology spillover on energy utilization efficiency has a significant threshold effect.When the economic development level and human capital cross the threshold value,the promotion effect of OFDI reverse technology spillover on energy utilization efficiency will expand.Currently,most provinces in the eastern and central regions have crossed the threshold of absorptive capacity,while most provinces in the western regions are still below the threshold of economic development level and human capital level.The difference in absorptive capacity betweeneastern,central and western regions is an important reason for the regional differences in the effects of OFDI reverse technology spillovers on energy utilization efficiency.The seventh chapter is research conclusions and suggestions.This chapter summarizes the previous research results and puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions accordingly.
