| The technology of active grille shutter is a new fuel saving and emission reduction technology in the automotive field.It can adjust the air flow from the outside into the engine compartment according to the engine cooling demand,that reduce the resistance caused by redundant air in the internal flow field and thus achieve the effect of improving the economy of the car.At the same time,the grille also has the function of beautifying the appearance of the car and protecting sundries from entering the engine compartment.The calibration matching of the active grille shutter is the key to the application of this technology in practice.Firstly,based on a certain model,the paper analyzes the internal flow field of grille opening.The Catia model was imported into Hypermesh software to divide the mesh,and the simulation experiment was set up by Star-ccm+ software to study the influence of the two opening degrees of the grille on the wind resistance coefficient.Secondly,GT-SUITE software is used to establish the engine compartment model,which mainly included the radiator,fan,grille and other main components of the cooling system,and calibrated some of the main cooling components.Then,the engine cooling system and the vehicle system were established to study the influence of grille opening on the ventilation volume and engine coolant temperature.Finally,based on the engine compartment thermal management model and cooling air demand model,the paper deduces the numerical model of the active grille shutter and calibrates the main influencing factors.Then the paper optimizes and matches them in the established engine cooling system to establish the prediction model of the air volume.Based on these,the required grille opening degree is determined according to the temperature change of engine coolant combined with the vehicle’s speed and fan’s speed,and finally the calibration matching of the active grille shutter is completed. |
