| As a group of concern,whether children can grow up healthily affects the hearts of millions of people and concerns the future of the country and the nation.Cognition is the process of children’s understanding of the objective world,children’s cognitive development and outdoor activities are inextricably linked.Outdoor activities play an important role in children’s physical and psychological development,and are also children’s interests.An excellent design of children’s outdoor activities space should be able to meet the different needs of children at different cognitive stages,it can also play a good role in promoting the development of children’s cognition.Nowadays,many negative factors have caused the lack of children’s outdoor activities,and the unsatisfactory construction of children’s outdoor activities space is one of the important reasons.In order to promote children’s outdoor activities,more exploration is needed on how to design and build better outdoor spaces for children.This article takes children’s outdoor activity space as the research object.through the literature research.the case comprehensive analysis,the design practice verification and so on research method,based on the theory of cognitive development,a systematic study on the planning and design of children’s outdoor activities space has been carried out.The results are as follows:(1)Through literature research,this paper discusses the related concepts and theories of cognitive development theory,children’s outdoor activities and children’s outdoor activity space,then analyzes and summarizes the stages and characteristics of children’s cognitive development,the characteristics of children’s outdoor activities and the relationship between children’s cognitive development and outdoor activities,summarizes the concept,classification and common design elements of children’s outdoor activity space,discusses the importance and necessity of cognitive development theory in children’s outdoor activity space.(2)Through the analysis of typical design cases such as Chengdu Luhu Cloud Paradise,Children’s Park in Beijing Olympic Forest Park,Guangzhou Children’s Park,Singapore Far East children’s Park and Shelby farm park forest exploration playground in America,the advanced,scientific and ecological characteristics of the design concept,design technique and some details are summarized,and the advanced design experience and enlightenment are summarized.(3)Based on the typical case study and the application of cognitive development theory in children’s outdoor activity space,the design strategy of children’s outdoor activity space based on cognitive development theory is summarized.From site survey and analysis to establish a targeted design objectives,principles and site themes,and then according to the children’s capacity and space layout,this paper designs the scene of children’s activity space in different ages,and enriches the children’s outdoor activities from the aspects of sensory experience,thinking development,creative imagination and interactive communication.(4)Through the project practice of children’s activity center in Hebei provincial capital,this paper makes a practical response to the planning and design strategy of children’s outdoor activity space.First,according to the background and current conditions of the venue,the park theme of "interesting growth" will be determined,and then the layout of the space,the line and so on will be readjusted according to the needs of children,it is divided into seven parts and several scenic spots:children’s activity area,leisure activity area,physical development area,mountain landscape area,waterfront activity area and characteristic cultural area.In the scene design of the four main children’s activity spaces of the children’s fun garden,the Hedge Maze,the Fun Sculpture Garden and the Chinese Character Square,the combination of the characteristic environment,the reserved elements and the space theme,the design has the ecology,the interest and the education children activity space.Through the practice,further verified the feasibility of space design strategy of children’s outdoor activities based on cognitive development theory. |
