| The marine cables play an important role in electric energy transmission and information transmission in the structure of ships.It is of great significance to ensure the good insulation performance of marine cables for the normal operation of ships and the safety of personnel.In order to find out the invalidated marine cable and repair or replace it in time,it is necessary to carry out regular inspection on the insulation of the marine cable.However,the current detection methods used on real ships are time-consuming and cause damage to the cable and cannot be tested frequently.Therefore,there is an urgent need for a method that can realize rapid non-destructive testing of marine cables.This paper takes marine ethylene-propylene rubber(EPR)insulated cables as the research object and mainly carries out the following research work:Firstly,the accelerated thermal aging test was carried out on the marine EPR cable,and the hardness and elongation at break of the cable insulation layer sample after aging were measured.As a result,it was found that the hardness of the insulating layer sample increased with the aging process,and the elongation at break would decrease with the aging process.Secondly,a series of chemical reactions occurred in the process of aging of marine’ EPR insulation are theoretically analyzed,which also explains the reason for the increased hardness.Thirdly,the hardness data was processed by introducing the concept of residual hardness retention ratio.After analysis,a method for detecting the remaining life of marine EPR insulated cables based on the remaining hardness retention rate was developed.Finally,based on the rapid detection method for the insulation aging life of marine cables,a device for rapid non-destructive testing of marine cables was developed.Through the research in this paper,the aging rules of marine EPR insulated cables were obtained.In addition,a life detection model of marine EPR cable based on the remaining hardness retention rate was established and a rapid detection method of EPR cable insulation life was proposed.Based on the predecessors,a marine cable life testing device that can realize fast non-destructive testing has been developed. |
