Renewable energy is gaining more and more attention worldwide,especially solar energy.As a large electricity-consuming country,in China,coal-fired power generation still occupies a dominant portion in overall electricity supply.Integrating solar energy with coal-fired power plants can be regarded as an energy form in the transition phase from fossil energy to renewable energy.It is also an efficient way to utilize solar energy.This paper proposed a new system of coupling solar-aided flue gas treatment and solar-aided power generation.Performances of the system have been studied in order to explore new ways of utilizing solar energy.In the process of power plant's flue gas treatment,using solar energy can not only reduce the energy consumption of flue gas treatment,but also improve the flue gas treatment sequence.In the improved scheme proposed in this paper,the denitration device is installed downstream of desulfurization device.Utilizing a parabolic trough collector solar field,the flue gas discharged from the power plant can be heated up to about 550?,so the denitration device can be transferred to the downstream of dust removal and sulfur removal devices.Such configuration can protect denitration catalysts from fly ash,sulfide and other substances.In addition,it can also extend the life of the catalysts,and increase the types of optional catalysts.The improvement of the catalytic operation environment makes it possible to apply the direct decomposition denitration in power plants.The direct decomposition method owns the following advantages:no need of reducing agent,no secondary pollution,and more simplified equipment.After the flue gas treatment,the heated flue gas can be used in solar-aided power generation.Among various ways,the most efficient way is to use flue gas instead of the steam turbine's regenerative extraction to heat the feed water.This paper calculated the flue gas compositions in detail,which are used to establish the chemical kinetic model of denitration and the thermodynamic model of the power plant.Both models were compared and verified with previous research results.This paper proved that the direct decomposition method has a relatively strong denitrification performance.Besides,the processes of denitration and solar-aided power generation have a good overlap in high performances temperature ranges,indicating that they can be well coupled together.Overall,this paper provides new methods and ideas for the utilization of solar energy in power plants,and provides a guidance for the practical application of direct decomposition method of denitration in power plants.
