As the main force-supporting component in train operation,the wheels carry tens of tons of carriages moving on the track,and over time will cause serious damage such as rim cracks on the wheel rims.Based on the theoretical basis of ultrasonic testing technology,the thesis develops a new type of ultrasonic automatic testing system for train wheels and rims,which is specially used to detect wheel defects.Firstly,the development goal of a new type of ultrasonic automatic detection system for train wheels was put forward,and the overall plan of the detection system was completed,and the design plan of the wheel ultrasonic automatic detection system consisting of data acquisition module,probe array module and operation control display module was established..By designing the ultrasonic flaw detection device and key components outside the rail,the train wheel ultrasonic flaw detection system can quickly collect flaw detection data.The probe array module is mainly used for the selection and arrangement of probes for the collection of wheel rim defects,including a double crystal straight probe for detecting circumferential defects of train wheel rims and a single crystal oblique probe for detecting radial defects.The COMSOL Multiphysics software was used to theoretically analyze the radial defects of the wheel rim,the defect information inside the wheel was analyzed by simulating the propagation process of ultrasonic waves inside the wheel,and the optimal detection angle of the inclined probe arrangement was determined by the manual wheel test block defect detection experiment.The thesis deeply analyzes the operation control display principle of the ultrasonic flaw detection system,and uses VC++ as the software platform to design a professional flaw detection software to realize the automatic operation control management of the entire system.Based on the characteristics of the programming language VC++,the main functions of the application software are comprehensively analyzed;each operation interface of the application software is shown in detail;the key functions of the application software are focused on design,including data reception and information analysis,Data processing and information display,as well as data storage and query of the host computer.At the end of the thesis,an experimental test of the designed ultrasonic testing system for train wheels was carried out.First install and debug the experimental equipment to get the complete test results,then analyze the experimental results and draw conclusions.
