The development of underground space causes some geotechnical problems, especially the structural uplift caused by groundwater. As the excavation depth increases, the water pressure gradually increases, and the influence on the underground structure gradually increases. The correct calculation of the water level pressure on the floor of the building becomes a major problem. The groundwater buoyancy test and mechanism research carried out by the system have high academic value and practical engineering significance.Accurate calculation of buoyancy not only reduces unnecessary capital and material inputs, but also ensures safe construction and operation of construction projects.Based on the above-mentioned background of realistic needs, the method of model test was applied to study the anti-floating of buildings in this thesis. The main research results are as follows:1 This paper summarizes the current research status and measures of buoyancy reduction of underground structures, and collects related papers and literatures.2 A set of buoyancy model test system was designed and assembled by itself, and the model test was carried out for the buoyancy problem.3 The water buoyancy model tests were carried out in clays with different porosity. The results show that the buoyancy reduction value in sand is small, and the buoyancy reduction value in clay is larger. As the porosity decreases, the buoyancy reduction value in clay increases gradually.4 Based on the study of the buoyancy reduction mechanism, the relationship between the buoyancy reduction and the porosity for clay is obtained.
