In recent years,China's general aviation flight accidents have happened frequently,and investigations have shown that human factors are mainly responsible for those flight accidents.In general,the pilot acquires and processes visual information from the cockpit display interface during flight.A large amount of visual information requires the pilot to accurately and reasonably distribute their attention.Unreasonable attention distribution will reduce the efficiency of flight information acquisition.The design of the display interface must not only meet the pilot's operational requirements,but also comply with the pilot' attention distribution rules,thus improving the information acquisition efficiency of pilots and reducing information reading errors.Hence,measuring and evaluating the pilot's visual attention distribution to the display interface is of great significance.This paper analyzes the visual attention of the cockpit display interface,establishes a simulated flight platform and the eye movement and EEG experimental platform,and designs and carries out a simulated flight experiment.The experiment measures the visual attention of the pilot in the airfield traffic pattern,and simulates the eye movement data,EEG data and behavioral performance of the subjects.Subsequently,the experiment uses the frequency domain analysis method to analyze the collected EEG data,the fixation point of the eye movement data and the pupil data,and then comprehensively tests each index to determine the validity of the experimental data.Based on various physiological indicators and performance,we have obtained the visual attention distribution of the pilots in the airfield traffic pattern.The research results show that the pilots have more concentrated visual attention during landing stage and the pilots are more easily to be distracted during the level flight.The eye tracking technology is used to acquire the interface information of the pilots in each flight phase,showing that the pilot has paid the most attention on the airspeed indicator,followed by the altimeter,the attitude meter and the vertical speedometer.On the basis of the experimental research results,combines with the design principle of the visual display interface and the design requirements of the aircraft display interface,a display interface that meets the visual attention distribution requirements of the pilot is designed.
