There are a large number of earthen sites in Northwest China, and many of them have survived to this day because of the dry and rainless climate. The Great Wall, especially the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, has the largest number of remains, but also it`s environment is the most complicated in these earthen sites. As an important part of the military defense system of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty,Jiayuguan has lost its original military defense function for a long time, but it is of great significance to the study of politics, economy, military, nationality, engineering technology, culture and art,and Chinese and Western transportation in the Ming Dynasty. However, due to the complex and special open existence environment,a large number of soil sites, such as the great wall, are undergoing rapid extinction from quantitative to qualitative, coupled with the effects of natural and human activities,In this paper, under the background of the world cultural heritage site of Jiayuguan, some related experiments are designed to explore the main influencing fact under the dominant factor of wind erosion with erosion diseases and meteorological monitoring data of Mingqiang and Anbi, which belong to the west Great Wall in Jiayuguan. With the mathematical and statistical methods, the primary and secondary influencing factors under the dominant factor of wind erosion are also determined. This has certain guiding significance for further promoting the protection of the cultural relics of Jiayuguan and also have certain guiding significance for the cultural resources` reasonable development and utilization.(1)The sapping scale of Mingqiang and Anbi, the west Great Wall in Jiayuguan, has the characteristic that the west fa?ade is higher than the east facade totally. And with the decline of the wall preservation status, the scale of the sapping development is increasing mostly.(2)Based on the analysis of the environment and local meteorological data of the west section of the Ming Great Wall in Jiayuguan, the difference of the basic physical indicators in the east and west facades of the wall is related to the sand-bearing wind from the west to some extent. The basic physical indicators include particle size gradation, soluble salt content, porosity ratio,liquid-plastic limit.(3)By designing wind erosion experiments of the remodeled soil under different environmental conditions to simulate the wall in Jiayuguan, combined with gray correlation and analytic hierarchy process analysis, the conclusion could be found that the extreme changes in humidity have the strongest impact on the sapping, then followed by the drastic changes in temperature and the radiation intensity of sunlight in this area.
