Satisfaction Evaluation Of Urban Renewal From The Public Perspective

After 40 years of rapid urbanization in China,China’s urbanization rate exceeded 60%in 2019.The rapidly increasing urbanization rate reflects the current problems facing urban development.The 2019 Central Economic Work Conference pointed out: In the future construction and development of cities,the focus of development must be shifted to the renewal of cities,the transformation of old urban communities,and the improvement of the quality of people ’s living environment.In the future,urban construction needs to shift from "quantitative" expansion to "qualitative" promotion.The new development concept of urban renewal will lead the city to improve its living environment quality while enhancing its vitality and urban competitiveness.However,from the practice of large cities,it is found that the small-scale,gradual,and diversified new urban renewal model lacks the attention of the public,and it is still impossible to rely on the promotion of existing forces.The city is a comprehensive environment with people as the core.Urban renewal should fulfill the public’s demands for renewal to the greatest extent.However,the concept of public satisfaction has been neglected in the past urban renewal,but the focus of urban renewal is on improving the environment,without too much consideration of the public’s views on the renewal project.Therefore,in this context,we must proceed from the perspective of the public,and strive to maximize the satisfaction of the public while the urban renewal project is successfully carried out,which has great research significance.The thesis introduces the satisfaction theory to explore and analyze the public satisfaction factors of urban renewal projects.First elaborate the theories of organic renewal,sustainable development,stakeholders,social satisfaction,etc.,and lay the theoretical foundation for the follow-up research of the thesis.Sort out for qualitative analysis;afterwards,through literature summaries and expert discussions,the urban renewal public satisfaction evaluation index system is constructed from the five dimensions of space environment,internal transportation,economy,social culture,and facility support,and then obtained through principal component analysis and dimension reduction Four secondary index factors: economic dimension,facility supporting dimension,internal and external transportation dimension,spatial cultural environmentdimension,and 26 tertiary evaluation indicators.Among them,the economic dimension is the factor most concerned by the public in urban renewal projects,followed by the facility supporting dimension,the internal and external transportation dimension,and the spatial cultural environment dimension.Based on the screening results of principal components and the weights assigned to each index factor,the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to quantify the evaluation of public satisfaction,and the evaluation results are analyzed.The results show that the public satisfaction score of Chenghuangmiao Street after updating is 3.43 points,which is of general grade.Among the secondary indicators,the satisfaction score of the spatial cultural environment dimension is the highest,followed by the facility supporting dimension,the internal and external transportation dimension is ranked third,and the economic dimension is the lowest.Finally,based on the results of public satisfaction evaluation and analysis,combined with the updated experience of blocks such as Nanjing Confucius Temple,Hangzhou Nansong Yujie Street,Suzhou Guanqian Street,and Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley,from the functional positioning,commercial format,road traffic,infrastructure,management mode Various aspects put forward optimization measures and policy recommendations.In order to effectively improve the problem of low public satisfaction evaluation in urban renewal projects,relevant government functional departments should change the planning concept and adhere to "people-oriented" so that the public can also participate in the renewal project.The purpose of this study is to explore a bottom-up comprehensive evaluation system for urban renewal through public satisfaction evaluation of urban renewal projects,so as to more satisfy public demands and provide reference opinions for similar urban block planning and renewal projects in the future.At the same time,it has enriched the research on urban renewal satisfaction evaluation and other related content,and has reference and guidance significance.Figure [26] table [17] reference [68]...
