The renovation of old residential areas is an important measure to implement the peoplecentered development concept,a key content of urban renewal and transformation, and an important livelihood improvement project in the new era in China, which is eagerly awaited by the majority of urban residents.Renovation of old residential areas can eliminate potential housing safety hazards, improve the living environment, and enhance the sense of gain and happiness of the people. At the same time, renovation of old residential areas is also an important means to expand domestic demand, promote urban renewal, and transform the development and construction methods. In recent years, the Party Central Committee and the state have issued a number of policy documents on the renovation of old residential areas, providing strong support for guiding the renovation of old urban residential areas, coordinating the interests of all parties, and expanding economic domestic demand. However, for the renovation of old residential areas,it is not only necessary to complete the renovation work, but also necessary to assess whether the renovation effect can satisfy residents, and identify possible problems and shortcomings. Therefore, whether the renovation of old residential areas can meet the needs of residents,it is necessary to carry out a research on the evaluation of residents’ satisfaction with the renovation of old residential areas in combination with policy objectives, starting from the perspective of residents’ subjective feelings,to explore the true feelings and actual needs of residents,so as to continue to promote the renovation of old residential areas in the future. The main research contents of this article are as follows:First of all, based on extensive reading of relevant research results at home and abroad,as well as relevant national and local standards and specifications, and combining expert opinions,a residents’ satisfaction evaluation index system for the renovation of old residential areas has been established, which includes five aspects: perception of the renovation process, building repair, infrastructure renovation, residential environment improvement, and service facility improvement. Then, the G1 method and CRITIC method are used to weight the indicators, and the basic ideas of game theory are used to determine the combined weight. The cloud model is used to calculate the satisfaction level of residents in the renovation of old residential areas. Then, taking Zhanggong District,Ganzhou City as an example,an empirical analysis was conducted, and the overall evaluation result of residents’ satisfaction with the renovation of old residential areas in Zhanggong District,Ganzhou City was "relatively satisfactory".In specific dimensions, residents’ satisfaction with the renovation process, house building repair, infrastructure renovation, and service facility upgrading was high, and the evaluation result was "relatively satisfactory".However, residents’ satisfaction level with the renovation of the residential environment was not high,The evaluation result is "average".Finally, the IPA analysis method is used to analyze various indicators to determine the priority of improving residents’ satisfaction, and on this basis, specific improvement strategies are proposed for the 5indicators in the repair area and the 4 indicators in the opportunity area. This article combines the cloud model with residents’ satisfaction evaluation for the renovation of old residential areas, verifying the feasibility of applying the cloud model to specific residents’ satisfaction evaluation, enriching the research results of the combination of the renovation of old residential areas and residents’ satisfaction theory, and having practical significance for testing the effectiveness of the renovation of old residential areas in Zhanggong District,Ganzhou City.
