In the hot summer area of China,the duration of summer is long and the high temperature is humid,which greatly affects the thermal comfort of outdoor space and reduces the utilization rate of outdoor space in the daytime of summer.In recent Decades,people pay more and more attention to outdoor activities,urban space tends to pursue refinement and quality,and further optimize the applicability of urban space in summer,which is also one of the urgent issues in the field of planning and design.Because of the people served by the medical building environment are patients,due to the special physiological and psychological conditions.They need to pay more attention and actively explore the higher requirements for the thermal comfort of the outdoor environment in summer,and it is an important way to effectively build a suitable shadow space in the outdoor environment of medical buildings.Based on the literature review and investigation,this paper analyzes the physiological psychology of the users of the medical buildings outdoor space in the hot summer area,the characteristics of the outdoor activity demand in summer,the characteristics of the time and space demand for shadows and the existing problems.Based on the mechanism of the "Constant-holistically shadowed space(CHSS)",the goal,principle and design method of constructing the "Constant-holistically shadowed space(CHSS)" in the outdoor environment of the medical buildings are established Methods,enrich the theory and method system of urban spatial environment planning and design,and provide guidance for the practice of outdoor space planning and design of medical buildings.The main understanding and conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.It is an effective way to make use of outdoor space to create shadow space in a specific time and space,that is the "Constant-holistically shadowed space(CHSS)".Its construction has a great relationship with planning,building form,plant configuration,topography and so on,and the construction of "Constant-holistically shadowed space(CHSS)" will also have a linkage relationship,which will affect the quality of shadow space.2.After making clear the use demand and construction goal of the space of "constant total shadow",the paper simulates and analyzes the elements of building "constant total shadow" through the software of grasshopper,understands the change mechanism of "constant total shadow",sums up the construction mechanism of all elements of "Constant-holistically shadowed space(CHSS)",and adopts reasonable layout form,building shape,structure,plant form and reasonably matches all factors All of them can create a space with better space-time "Constant-holistically shadowed(CHS)".3.Put forward the design method of rehabilitation space,leisure space and walking space suitable for the medical building patients in the hot summer area,that is,from the aspects of architectural planning,architectural design,plant configuration,structure application,etc.,to guide the construction of "constant total shadow",and put forward effective ideas for the optimization of shadow area,so as to provide theory and excellence for the design of "constant total shadow" of the outdoor space of medical building in the hot summer area Guidance.
