With the increasing dependence of modern society on electric power,the demand for electricity keeps growing rapidly,and the quality requirement of power supply is getting higher and higher.Sudden power outages will inevitably cause negative impact to public lives and the normal operation of society,especially to the primary load,once the any power outages happen,it will bring significant political impacts and economic losses.Currently,diesel generator sets are considered as the common emergency power guarantee equipment,meanwhile,the flywheel sets are also taken under consideration for power emergency application,such as the Beijing Summer Olympic Games,Shanghai World Expo,Guangzhou Asian Games and other important activities.The use of emergency power vehicles is responsible for the important power supply of the venue.These successful implements have rapidly promoted the development of the emergency power industry.At present,portable emergency power vehicles are mainly using diesel engines.With the background of green environmental promotion,energy and emission reduction,the demand for research and development innovated system to replace traditional diesel engines on portable emergency power vehicles has become more and more urgent.This paper introduces the characteristics and configuration of portable power supply system,illustrates the power conversion device,monitoring system and system integration design,the control technology of grid-connected operation,application demands and scenarios of portable energy storage system are analyzed,there operational scenarios such as series,parallel and bus couple are newly promoted,meanwhile,economic and social benefits for portable energy storage system are analyzed,which is helpful to guide new portable energy storage systems design in the future.
