In this paper,through the analysis of the electric arc furnace melting system,combined with the current problems in the use of electric arc furnace systems at home and abroad,a method of reactive power compensation for the electric arc furnace melting system by TSC and STATCOM is proposed.The thesis firstly modeled the electric arc furnace system.By analyzing the circular model of power change,it was concluded that the rapid change and irregular oscillation of reactive power during the operation of the electric arc furnace,the power quality of the electric furnace power supply system dropped a lot;secondly,this paper At present,the methods of reactive power compensation for electric arc furnaces at home and abroad are studied,and the shortcomings of using a single compensation method for electric arc furnace systems are obtained.Third,on the basis of the above two aspects,this paper proposes a method of joint compensation using TSC and STATCOM After simulation,the feasibility of the method is verified,and the specific control method is given.The simulation shows that the scheme has achieved the parameters and performance of improving power quality,and has certain applicability and economic performance.Finally,the hardware circuit of TSC+STATCOM hybrid reactive power compensation device is designed.
