| On the topic of sustainable development,both the transition of construction method and saving of energy during the architectural running period are the key sections of achieving the sustainability of buildings.The application and promotion of prefabricated assembly technology in the housing industry is one of the important trends of future construction development.The application of passive-active integration design strategies in architecture is the effective way to achieve the goal of energy conservation and sustainability.In consideration of our country’s situation of high proportion of area of constructing houses with high energy consuming,applying and popularizing the prototype of sustainable modular house,with high constructive efficiency and degree of industrialization along with low operating energy,are significant to realize the transition of construction and the upgrade of the operating energy saving.The title of this article comes from the experience of participation of Solar Decathlon Competition 2018.This competition builds an experimental platform for the prototype of sustainable modular house,with competition rules and requirement of fast construction to realize the application and popularization of sustainable technology and the promotion of constructive transition.This paper aims to focus on the research object of sustainable modular house,in the view of life cycle,using the projects from Solar Decathlon Competition as the study cases to explore the design strategies of sustainable modular house in different life phases.This paper consists of 6 chapters.Chapter 1: Introducing the research background,object,progression,significance,methods and research framework of this article;Chapter 2: Building both foundation of research on sustainable modular house,through the research of theories of sustainable architecture and modular design,and the analysis of the typological evolution with applied value.Chapter 3: Analyzing the background and rules of Solar Decathlon Competition,and the features of studying cases to discuss the value of the SD Competition as a sustainable modular housing case and building the system of sustainable modular house through analyzing the goal of five phases,which includes industrial prefabrication,modular transportation,onsite construction,operating and maintaining,disassembly and recycling;Chapter 4: Analyzing the design strategies of study cases from Solar Decathlon Competition,to put forward the design strategies of different phases in the view of life cycle.Chapter 5: Using the LONGPLAN project from SDC2018 Team SCUT-POLITO to illustrate the design strategies applied in different phases in its life cycle.Chapter 6:Summarizing and prospecting the design strategy research on sustainable modular house in the view of life cycle.This paper aims to follow the research route that “from theory research,aims building,case study,to case verification”,systematically concludes the design strategies of different phases in the view of life cycle,and verifies them through the analysis of SDC2018 LONGPLAN project,which is worth on the application of the sustainable modular house and is helpful for its research. |
