Regional road network is the foundation of social and economic development and an important support for regional development integration.Its transportation characteristics will naturally be affected by policies and related economic activities.Since the Reform and Opening up,China's social economy has been developed rapidly.The regional transportation network has been continuously improved,and the activity of transportation has been continuously improved in various regions.However,the social development is not balanced,and the activity of transportation varies from place to place.The traffic characteristics of regional road network show obvious spatial heterogeneity and time-varying.How to measure the node status of road network and analyze the structural characteristics of transportation network scientifically,so as to better serve the urban agglomeration planning and the coordinated development of regional social economy,has become a hot issue of some related government departments and the society.Based on all above,this paper,based on the urban network theory,has formed a complete set of regional road network traffic characteristics analysis method system,focusing on the spatial node and overall spatial structure characteristics of regional traffic network,which has certain theoretical and practical significance.The main research contents are as follows:(1)In the aspect of network node analysis,this paper uses the traffic flow between nodes as the measure of the node connection on the transportation network.Firstly,we improve the calculation method of the node degree of the transportation network according to the characteristics of the actual connection.Then,we put forward the evaluation method of node importance based on the improved network node degree and the evaluation method of node importance based on the traffic flow between nodes.These methods analyse the importance of regional road network nodes from two aspects: the extent and intensity of external traffic connections,and compares these two kinds of important nodes.(2)In the aspect of network spatial structure analysis,this paper proposes a multi index based method to measure the level of traffic development.On this basis,an improved Fast Unfolding community division algorithm based on the local spatial autocorrelation analysis is proposed.This algorithm studies the traffic agglomeration types of each node from the perspective of the autocorrelation characteristics of regional space,determines the high value and low value agglomeration areas,which provides a theoretical basis for the structural division of regional traffic and transportation space.The algorithm,which based on the clustering results,will divide the communities reasonably and then generate a better community initialization scheme and reduce the number of iterations,so as to improve the efficiency of community division.(3)On the basis of the above analysis method,based on the massive basic data of Guangdong Expressway in 2016-2019,this paper makes an empirical study on the node importance and the trend of 9 cities and 43 counties in the Pearl River Delta.The results show that the important nodes in the Pearl River Delta are concentrated on the coast of the Pearl River Estuary,and the important node area presents an inverted U-shaped structure.Besides,the importance of nodes based on the improved network node degree decreases gradually from the coast of the Pearl River Estuary to the edge of the region,and the importance of nodes increases year by year.Based on the analysis of traffic flow between nodes,the important nodes are mainly distributed in the East Bank of the Pearl River Estuary.The top ten important nodes,which are the breadth of external traffic links and the highest intensity of external links,basically coincide.(4)The empirical study shows that the spatial structure of transportation in the Pearl River Delta is obviously agglomerated.The "high-high" agglomeration type areas on the East Coast of the Pearl River are basically stable,while the West Coast area shows a trend of inward contraction and eastward shift of the center of gravity.The core areas of the West Coast are basically in the Nanhai,Shunde,Zhongshan,and the rest are low value concentration areas.The result of community division shows that the spatial structure of the transportation network in the Pearl River Delta region is based on the spillover effect of the administrative region;the core cities play a leading role;and the large and small communities coexist.In addition,by comparing the efficiency of the improved algorithm and the original algorithm,it can be noticed that the efficiency of the improved community division algorithm is significantly improved,especially for large-scale network division.
