As an important part of automobile chassis,torsion beam has great potential of lightweight.However,it is difficult to form the torsion beam of high-strength steel plate by cold stamping.Hot stamping technology has irreplaceable advantages in changing the formability of auto parts,which combines cold stamping with metal heat treatment.It effectively solves the forming difficulties,springback and other defects of the torsion beam in the process of cold stamping,and ensures the accuracy of parts.In this paper,the lightweight structure design and thermal forming simulation of torsion beam are studied systematically.Firstly,according to the basic size and shape of the existing cold stamping torsion beam,the torsion beam of high-strength steel plate is designed.The three-dimensional model and the finite element model of the torsion beam are established.The structural strength analysis and modal analysis are carried out.The evaluation indexes for structural optimization are obtained.The lightweight structure of torsion beam is optimized by orthogonal experiment.Secondly,the formability is simulated.According to the design of the steel plate torsion beam model,the process is supplemented to determine the mold surface.The mold is designed.At the same time,according to the theory of heat transfer and hydrodynamics,the parameters of cooling system are determined.The finite element model of stamping process is built by ABAQUS software,and the stamping simulation of high temperature sheet metal is carried out.The formability of sheet metal was analyzed by the results of temperature field and stress-strain field.Then,the fluid structure coupling model of quenching process is built by ABAQUS software.The temperature field at the end of stamping stage is taken as the initial condition of quenching stage.After the joint simulation of the thermo fluid solid coupling analysis,the temperature field after the quenching stage is analyzed.Finally,considering the continuous production process of die from low temperature to stable temperature,the hot stamping process is simulated repeatedly.The results show that the hot stamping process can produce high strength steel plate torsion beam.The continuous production of torsion beam can be realized on the basis of lightweight torsion beam.
