In the living environment full of changes and unknown factors,human beings are always facing life and health threats from many aspects.With the development of rehabilitation assistive device industry in China,as a branch of its category,protective assistive device has also been concerned;Meanwhile,the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in 2020 has caused profound impact on human security,triggering a reconsideration and positioning of the relevant industry in the design of protective products.How to use the principle of multi-level biological function in nature for reference and design protective assistive devices by means of biological effect,so as to solve the problems of poor protective performance of them,the urgent need to optimize the use and emotional experience,and even to plan the development path of protective assistive devices under the human-product-environment relationship pattern,is worthy of in-depth discussion.In this paper,based on the carrier of protective assistive devices,from the perspective of biological effect guiding product bionic design,the traditional bionic concept and the theoretical knowledge of biological morphology and structure,biological behavior,ecosystem and other aspects are applied to study the design methods and processes of protective assistive devices,and a design method of protective assistive devices driven by multi-level biological effect is proposed,which is combined with the design practice to verify the feasibility.Based on the application strategy of biological effect in industrial design,the biological effect is divided into three levels: morphological structure level,biological behavior level and ecosystem level.By using the methods of literature research,synectics method,patent text mining and AHP,the morphological structure,operation mode and product system of protective assistive devices are studied.First of all,sort out and analyze the relevant knowledge of biological effects,protective assistive devices and multi-level bionics to provide theoretical basis for research;Secondly,the existing theory is integrated and innovated,and the design method and process of protective assistive devices driven by biological effect are proposed.By analyzing the functional requirements of products and the text of biological strategy in AskNature,the biological effect knowledge base for protective assistive devices design is constructed according to different functional performance levels to guide the design practice and improve the design efficiency;Finally,the design practice of face protection assistive device was carried out with the medical personnel in the front-line epidemic prevention and control field as the target object.Through in-depth mining of user needs,building the functional model of the target product,using the multi-level biological effect knowledge base index and screening the corresponding biological function prototype.Based on the calculation of its application priority,the engineering substitution of biology-technology is carried out,so as to form a comprehensive design scheme and evaluate and optimize it.By studying the design method of protective assistive devices driven by biological effects,this paper puts forward innovative design methods and processes,and constructs a multi-level biological effect knowledge base for the design of protective assistive devices,which provides a reference theory and method for optimizing the protective performance,use and emotional experience of products and exploring the relationship between human-product-environment system.
