After more than 30 years of rapid development in China,the current social contradictions have turned into a contradiction between the people ’s growing need for a better life and uneven and inadequate development.As a generator of people’s public activities,urban community public space can reflect the development level of urban society,economy and culture,and become the embodiment of urban value.Today,in an era of urban differentiation and inadequate development,how to create a vibrant public space that can meet the needs of residents has become the key focus of community development.In the past,the evaluation of community public space mostly took the physical space environmental route.Insufficient consideration of the sociality of public space and the actual use needs of residents led to many problems in the process of community renewal.Therefore,it is especially critical to establish an evaluation system that takes the needs of users as the core and covers the physical environment and public activities of public spaces.The full text is divided into 5 parts.The first part summarizes and sorts out the theoretical and practical research of community public space and post-use evaluation,and demonstrates the importance and significance of this research.The second part,starting from the development process of urban communities,reveals the internal causes and development status of urban communities in different periods and types,classifies urban communities and divides them into three types: unit system,community system and block system.The analysis of three types of community public space and public life,in-depth understanding of the characteristics of community public space and the characteristics of residents’ public life.The third part,on the basis of the above analysis,draws on domestic and foreign scholars’ relevant research on community public space POE(Post Occupancy Evaluation),and comprehensively uses relevant subject knowledge such as human settlement environmental science,system science,environmental behavior psychology,statistics,Screening evaluation indicators from the three levels of public space quality,user behavior,user psychology,through a combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to build a community public space POE system.In the fourth part,empirical research is carried out by taking the example of Wuhuan Community(unit system),Fenglin Oasis Community(community system)and Saigao District(block system)in Xi’an to verify the feasibility of the public space POE system constructed above At the same time,based on the evaluation results,it summarizes the current status and existing problems of the three types of community public spaces and proposes corresponding optimization strategies.In the fifth part,although the communities studied in this article include three types: unit system,community system and block system,the public spaces in different communities still have similarities.The core of public space is for human use.Summarize the elements,and put forward a universal urban community public space optimization strategy,including the promotion strategy at the cultural level,design level and management level.This article aims to comprehensively understand the development status of urban community public space and the use needs of residents,improve the quality of community living environment,meet the needs of residents ’public activities,and create a vibrant community public space;enrich the path of citizens’ participation in community construction and provide public space for the community Updating and optimizing provide a platform for public participation;constructing a universal urban community public space POE system to provide an objective basis for community public space updating.
