Existing universal couplings often aggravate friction and wear due to vibrations.It causes the universal coupling to be scrapped in advance,and even makes the whole machine not work properly.In order to reduce friction and wear,and study the vibration and lubrication characteristics of the new three-fork universal coupling,this article mainly has the following aspects of research.First,in order to reduce the friction and wear of the coupling,this article designed a new tripod universal coupling based on the slider type universal coupling.The coupling is provided with balls in the tripod groove to reduce friction,we changed sliding to rolling.Then,in order to suppress the vibration of the universal coupling and prevent its premature scrap,this paper analyzed the longitudinal,torsional and lateral vibration characteristics of the new tripod universal coupling through in-depth research.Taking the the new tripod coupling system as the research goal,establishing the vibration equation and solving the natural frequency.The numerical calculation method was used to analyze steady state.The angle changed the longitudinal vibration stiffness of the intermediate shaft.It changed tripod universal coupling output shaft and input shaft rotation angle relationship,additional bending moment.These factors cause the system longitudinal vibration,torsional vibration and transverse vibration to change.The external excitation changed the trigeminal longitudinal excitation force.It changed tripod universal coupling torque and ball cage load torque and lateral excitation force.These factors cause the system longitudinal vibration,torsional vibration and transverse vibration to increase.The angular velocity affected the longitudinal,torsional and transverse vibrations of the system by changing the frequency of the tripod external excitation.Longitudinal vibration and torsional vibration would not reach the natural frequency of system at normal angularvelocity.The maximum value of lateral vibration at normal angular velocity is close to the natural frequency of the system,but the amplitude was not large.Therefore,the coupling should work under 30 degree angle and angular velocity,and not excessive impact.Finally,in order to reduce friction and wear caused by vibration and other factors,verify the lubrication effect of the new structure,this article analyzed the isothermal and thermoelastic hydrodynamic lubrication characteristics of the slider and the ball in the new tripod universal coupling.It analyzed the lubrication characteristics of the universal coupling.Under the condition of considering the roughness,isothermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication combines Reynolds equation,film thickness equation,viscous pressure equation and dense pressure equation,etc.,thermoelastohydrodynamic lubrication supplements the energy equation,modifies the viscous pressure and dense pressure equation,and uses the discrete form of Reynolds equation iterate.The increased amplitude of the sinusoidal roughness affected the pressure through the film thickness,which increases the pressure and temperature fluctuation.The increased sinusoidal roughness frequency led to an increase in film thickness frequency,which in turn increases the pressure and temperature fluctuation frequency.The increased relative speed affected the film thickness,pressure and density at the same time,and was superimposed on the sinusoidal roughness effect,resulting in increased film thickness,increased pressure and temperature fluctuations.The increased random roughness amplitude caused the film thickness to increase in a disordered manner,and then the pressure increased,but the fluctuation frequency was irregular.The slide-roll ratio affected the energy equation.As the slide-roll ratio increased,the temperature increased and the film thickness pressure remained unchanged.We should limit the roughness and ensure smooth rolling of balls.
