The reservoir from the Yellow River is the raw water of a water plant in Jinan.The raw water's main characteristics are low temperature and low turbidity,seasonal and high algae and micro-contamination.According to this characteristics,we will transform the water plant suitably.Based on the study of the water quality and optimization of each technological process,we finally chose to determine the treatment process of the water plant.The main contents of this paper are as follows :(1)to study about the raw water quality in a water plant in Jinan;(2)optimize the technological process according to the characteristics of raw water quality;(3)determine the technological process of water plant transformation;(4)compare the new and old treatment process.Through the research and analysis,we found that the raw water quality of the plant has a series of problems,such as organic matter,algae,smell and so on.There are some conventional process in the water plant,the water treatment of the above problem is very poor.So,it is necessary to reform the process of the water plant.In this paper,through the optimization of the treatment process of removing organic matter,algae and odor,the final treatment proc ess is determined as follows: the pretreatment process of potassium permanganate,the process of using the precipitation air flotation tank,the process of entering the biological activated carbon filter,and finally the process of ultraviolet disinfection.In this water plant,there are 4 groups of technological processes,among which 2 groups are selected for transformation(1# sedimentation tank and 2# sedimentation tank).The transformation process is as follows: Mechanical mixing instead of pipe mixing;Replace the sedimentation tank with the sedimentation tank;Sand filter is replaced by activated carbon filter;And a new ultraviolet disinfection system.After the process modification,the removal of different pollutants by the new process was studied through the comparison of the new and old processes.We found that the new process could effectively remove turbidity,and the average removal rate was 96.45%.The average removal rate of CODMn was 43.56%.The average removal rate of UV254 was 57.58%.The average removal rate of algae in the water was 96.07%.The removal of turbidity mainly depends on precipitation floating pool and activated carbon filter.The removal of organic matter mainly depends on the activated carbon filter: the removal of algae ma inly depends on the precipitation floating tank;The removal of smell and taste mainly depends on the precipitation floating pool and activated carbon filter.The use of the new technology can effectively solve the problem of water quality,so as to achieve better water treatment effect.
