As a new generation communication system,Micro TCA plays an increasingly important role in the field of high-energy physics experiments and space physics detection due to its advantages of high performance,high bandwidth and high integration.Advanced Mezzanine Card(AMC)is the most important module in Micro TCA and plays the role of transmitting data.Although manufacturers in the industry have introduced some AMC cards,due to the high price and the inability of customers to fully control the transmission system inside the purchased AMC,many inconveniences are caused in terms of use,function upgrades and system maintenance.Based on the Micro TCA technical standard,the Lanzhou heavy ion accelerator cooling ring is used as the experimental platform,and a data transmission system is designed on the AMC with Xilinx Kintex7 series FPGA as the core,which realizes high-speed and low-cost design.According to the performance requirements of the Lanzhou heavy ion experiment on AMC,the GTP module is used in the FPGA to complete the reception of the front-end serial differential data.The received data will undergo data decoding,alignment,cross-clock domain processing and protocol conversion within the FPGA,and finally,the data is sent at high speed through the PCIE module.In order to meet the speed requirements and ensure the validity of the received data,the speed of the GTP module and PCIE module is set at 5G/s,and the 8B/10 B encoding and decoding technology is used in the GTP.At the same time,in order to ensure the normal operation of AMC,an IPMI(Intelligent Platform Management Interface)management system is designed on the Atmel128 L microcontroller to monitor and manage AMC.In order to realize these functions on AMC,RTL design of FPGA's transmission circuit is carried out on Vivado,and a program is written on Atmel Studio software to complete the design of IPMI management system.Af ter that,Vivado's own emulator is used to simulate the transmission circuit.A series of functions of the management system are tested on the Micro TCA chassis.The test results of functional simulation and management system show that the high-speed transmission system designed on FPGA and the management system designed on Atmel128 L have achieved the requirements of high-speed transmission function and management.
