In recent years,China's passenger vehicle market has gradually shifted from an incremental market to a stock market.In 2018,domestic passenger vehicle sales declined for the first time,and meanwhile,market supply exceeded demand.It has become very difficult to increase sales solely by new consumers.In the context of changes between supply and demand in the passenger vehicle market and consumer transformation and upgrading,vehicle companies must rely on sophisticated and data-based operations to maintain their core competitiveness.With the popularity of the Internet,the process of consumer purchase decision-making has begun to shift from offline to online.Different types and dimensions of consumer purchase data have been recorded,providing a richer perspective for the passenger vehicle market.When analyzing the overall market sales,the sales rules of the segment market can be easily covered up,which makes the demand of potential consumers hard to be found.Therefore,this paper focuses on the sales forecast of passenger vehicle segments.This paper selects the sales data set of 60 models in 22 province segments for 24 months(from January 2016 to December 2017),and non-sales data set that includes Internet search volume for each model name in each segment,news reply volume and car comment volume at mainstream automotive vertical media.Feature construction is based on the business understanding of the passenger vehicle market and exploratory analysis of the consumer behavior data.Feature extraction is performed by using principal component analysis.Considering that the combined model can take the advantages of every single model to improve the generalization performance of the overall model,this paper uses weighted analysis to achieve it.Then,parameter tuning is used to improve the performance of the combined model.Therefore,the relatively accurate and efficient sales forecast of the segment market may be helpful for the vehicle industry.On this basis,it is possible for vehicle companies to conduct sales forecast of the segment market,target potential consumer groups,and dig the implicit sales laws,thereby making the improvement of marketing strategy to achieve a win-win situation with consumers.Besides,each company in the vehicle supply chain can make operations decisions more scientifically,including production planning,resource management,marketing,and logistics process,which can reduce supply chain operating costs to achieve better coordination and cooperation.
