A Study On Influencing Factors Of China's Provincial Civil Aviation Passenger Throughput

The purpose of this dissertation is to study the factors influencing the passenger throughput of China's civil aviation and the reasons for the differences among provinces.Therefore,the first,it systematically sorts out the factors that affect the passenger throughput of civil aviation by analyzing relevant literatures and previous research results.The second,many factors affecting passenger throughput of civil aviation are summarized due to the classification including geo-economic factors,air service factors and external shocking factors.And this thesis analyzes the related factors and their mechanisms.Then according to the actual circumstances in China and the relevant data and some cases,this dissertation provides preliminary qualitative analyses of the effects of various factors on the passenger throughput of civil aviation.Finally,it conducts empirical research on those factors and reasons for provincial differences,by selecting the unbalanced panel data of prefecture-level cities in China from 2005 to 2016,and establishing a reasonable empirical model.According to the research results,as a whole,the level of economic development,income,consumption and trade scale had a significant positive impact on the passenger throughput of China's civil aviation,and the high-speed railway had a significant negative impact.,but the population,employment and industrial structure have no significant impact on passenger throughput of civil aviation.In addition,the topography and geographical location have no obvious direct influence on civil aviation passenger transportation and the area of the region has a significant direct impact on civil aviation passenger transportation,scilicet,the competitive advantage of civil aviation passenger transportation is more obvious in a large area.From the perspective of inter-provincial differences,the level of economic development,income,consumption,trade scale and high-speed railways are important reasons for the inter-provincial differences,and the impact of other factors on inter-provincial differences needs further researches and analyses.This paper systematically classifies the relevant factors that affect the passenger throughput of civil aviation,and discusses the mechanism of each factors.At the same time,the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the factors and the reasons for the differences between provinces are based on the actual situation in China and combined with relevant data.This dissertation would provide a certain theoretical and empirical foundations for researchers to further explore related fields,the government to draft aviation policies,and airlines to formulate business strategies.
