The emergence of BIM technology is a revolution of engineering industry. To realize the data sharing and exchanging over the entire life cycle of the project is the core of the BIM technology. In general,BIM technology is committed to the informatization and digitization.Furthermore, the waste of resources, low production efficiency, and "information fault" between the different stages in construction industry can be resolved ultimately to synergize the design, construction, operation and maintenance.Herein, the design stage is the foundation of any project, but the acceptance and applicability of BIM in structural design is far from enough. Therefore,it shows great potential and significance to work on sharing and exchanging of BIM data and information by BIM technology.Firstly, this paper explores the IFC standard, which is the foundation of BIM technical data exchange and sharing standard, and extends its entity objects to solve the problem of incomplete and incomplete information definition, thus providing method support for the realization of data sharing and exchange in the full life cycle of the project. For the component missing problem in Revit and structural analysis software transformation process, the solution method of adding statements is proposed,so as to realize the complete transformation and sharing of model information.Secondly, combined with a low tower cable-stayed bridge engineering example, using the BIM Revit modeling software to the construction of bridge engineering information model was parameterized, and the parametric build family member, raised the efficiency and accuracy of component information exchange, and on the basis of the use of Revit and Midas conversion between interface, the 3 d model and the structural analysis model conversion between. Finally, using the Midas model obtained by transformation and taking the cable as the entry point, the variation characteristics of the cable length of the structure under the action of temperature field in the design stage were analyzed, which provided the basis for cable selection, reasonable cable force setting and cable adjustment in the design, and the influence of temperature effect on cable force under various working conditions was quantitatively analyzed. In addition, the variation rule of natural vibration frequency of cable-stayed bridge under cable damage is analyzed, and the conclusion can be applied to the protection and monitoring of cable, the optimization of sensor layout and the monitoring of bridge health.Through parametric modeling and model transformation of Dongzhou Xiangjiang Bridge, and structural analysis with cable as the entry point, the idea of parametric design is embodied, which is in line with the concept of BIM life cycle.
