In the connection of high-pressure pipelines,the sealing structure of metal lens pads is widely used.The medium in the high-pressure pipeline is usually hightemperature and high-pressure,and generally has a large temperature difference and pressure difference with the external environment.The lens pad will be in a high stress state for a long time.This will make the high-pressure pipeline more likely to leak,resulting in seal failure and causing huge losses in many ways such as economic,people,and equipment.Therefore,the research on the sealing performance of metal lens pads is of great significance.This article research the sealing of metal lens in microscopic perspective,using the fractal theory that is popular in microscopic-perspective researching in recent years.There are four parts to research in the article: Firstly,Performing the axial compression test on the metal lens pad to obtain the roughness of the metal lens pad before and after the test,and then using the structure function method in the fractal theory to process the roughness of the test and select the appropriate unscaled interval in the double logarithmic coordinate system to get the fractal dimension.Secondly,after obtaining the fractal dimension of each working condition,using the software of MATLAB to simulate the fractal characterization of the surface morphology of the metal lens pad,which is based on the M-B fractal model.Thirdly,after obtaining the fractal characterization results of the surface morphology of the metal lens pad,based on the capillary theory,the zigzag factor parameters are introduced to establish a microscopic angle metal lens pad leakage model,and the theoretical formula of the leakage model with the zigzag factor is derived.Fourth,the actual test data in the literature is substituted into the leak model for calculation,and the theoretical leak rate value can be obtained.The calculated leak rate value is compared with the real leak rate value in the literature to verify the accuracy of the model.Finally,through calculation,the result shows that within the error range,the metal lens pad micro-leakage model proposed in this paper is an effective method to predict the leakage rate.
