Because of its simple structure,small drilling pressure and no lubrication,the percussive ultrasonic drill has been applied in the research of asteroid exploration,especially in the anchoring of asteroid surface.The stable and efficient drilling of percussive ultrasonic drill depends on the specially designed driver.In this paper,a special driver for percussive ultrasonic drill is developed by means of theoretical derivation,experimental measurement,finite element analysis,circuit simulation,circuit experiment and experimental research.The equivalent circuit of the impact type ultrasonic drilling piezoelectric transducer is studied.This paper analyzes the mechanical structure,components and working principle of the percussive ultrasonic drilling machine,establishes the equivalent circuit model of the piezoelectric transducer,studies the impedance characteristics of the piezoelectric transducer based on the equivalent circuit model and actual measurement,and then analyzes the necessity and basic principle of impedance matching and tuning matching of the piezoelectric transducer.Based on the driving principle and characteristic matching of percussive ultrasonic drill,the driving power circuit of percussive ultrasonic drill is designed.According to the driving requirements of the percussive ultrasonic drill,the circuit of the microcontroller,the signal generating circuit,the single-phase half bridge inverter circuit,the matching circuit,the sampling detection circuit,the power regulating circuit and the power supply circuit are designed.A PCB for driver of percussive ultrasonic drill is designed.In this paper,the driving characteristics of the percussive ultrasonic drill are studied by using the developed driver.The test equipment and conditions are introduced in detail.In this paper,the control flow of the percussive ultrasonic drill is studied,and three parts of the control program block,which are series resonance frequency scanning,series resonance frequency automatic tracking and power regulation,are studied.The driving characteristics of the driver of the percussive ultrasonic drill with different drilling assembly parameters are studied.This paper studies the drilling characteristics of the percussive ultrasonic drill when drilling on different simulated star rock surfaces.
