As time goes by,the possibility of buildings to collapse is increasing under the influence of internal and external factors.If the signs of building collapse are not detected in advance and dealt with in a timely manner,the collapse of the building will cause serious economic losses and casualties.The building structure health monitoring system is a remote monitoring system based on the Internet of Things technology and applied to building safety assessment.It can monitor the health parameters of building structures related to building safety in real time and give timely warnings before a building collapses,thus minimizing the harm caused by the collapse.The current paper introduces the basic compositions and the working principles of building structure health monitoring system.The system is divided into three parts: the collection unit of the health parameters of the building structure,the remote transmission unit of the parameter data,and the data analysis and monitoring and timely warning unit of the cloud platform.In this study,building crack sensors based on distributed fiber structure and macro-bent fiber structure,and building vibration and tilt sensors based on MEMS chip are designed for the collection unit of building structure health parameters and their performances are tested.Building crack parameters,building vibration and tilt parameters are taken as examples in the designing process..As for the remote transmission unit of parameter data,this paper analyzes the different scenarios of using the monitoring system,and divides them into data transmission in WAN and LAN.In WAN,the HTTP communication protocol based on the GPRS communication module and the MQTT communication protocol based on the NB-Io T communication module are introduced.In LAN,the self-developed communication protocol based on the DL-LN33 P communication module is introduced.The validity of data transmission is tested respectively.As for the data analysis and timely warning monitoring unit of the cloud platform,a cloud platform of the monitoring system based on the Alibaba Cloud Io T platform is set up.The cloud platform has realized normal data interaction with multiple remote Io T devices,and real-time display of data from remote devices;and employed and timely warning methods such as email and SMS.Finally,the whole building structure health monitoring system was tested systematically.
