China's urban rail transit has stepped into the stage of large-scale network development. It is helpful to improve the transport efficiency and the level of passenger flow organization to build a route choice model that is more in line with the actual travel behavior of passengers. In this paper, the regret decision theory is introduced to construct a passenger flow distribution model more in line with the passenger's travel decision behavior under the premise that the passenger is faced with multi-route choice, which provides a new idea and perspective for the passenger flow distribution considering the passenger's bounded rational choice behavior. This model is helpful to meet the demand of network passenger flow with fine granularity and refinement, and can provide a kind of available reference for the research of network passenger flow distribution. The main work of this paper includes:(1)Establish the space and time expansion network needed for passenger flow distribution.First of all,the rail transit physical network is mapped with the train schedule in the time dimension, and the passenger travel route is transformed into an ordered set of space-time extension nodes and space-time extension arcs, thus constructing the urban rail transit space-time extension network. Then, the criterion of effective route is proposed to improve the efficiency of route searching. This work provides the network foundation for the subsequent distribution.(2)Establish the generalized random regret route choice model.By analyzing the mechanism of passenger route choice, this paper demonstrates the feasibility of regret theory in describing passenger travel choice behavior under the condition of bounded rationality. Then, based on the multiple decision rules of passengers themselves in the process of route choice,a generalized random regret route choice model for passengers in rail transit operation is established. The model contains regret weight parameters which can reflect the decision bias of passengers. This work provides the basis of route utility calculation for subsequent distribution.(3)Allocation of rail transit passenger flow based on regret choice behavior.According to the generalized random regret route choice model, the route utility is expressed and the distribution objective function with the generalized regret trip function as the minimum is established. Then considering the preference degree of passenger route choice, the model constraint is proposed on the basis of spatio-temporal expansion network, and the passenger flow allocation model is constructed. In order to improve the efficiency of MSA algorithm,multi-condition judgment is added to the effective route search part of the algorithm.(4)Case study.Taking Beijing rail transit local network as an example for verification, the OD demand during the morning rush hour is divided into fine granularity, and the passenger regret choice behavior and OD dynamic demand are considered for passenger flow allocation. Then the influence of different factors, such as distance and congestion degree,on route choice and distribution results is verified and analyzed effectively from multiple angles. Finally,by comparing the flow distribution results of the three models obtained through parameter adjustment,it is concluded that the model established in this paper has the advantages of strong adjustability,semi-compensability and high model stability, which is of certain guiding significance for operation management.
