With the development of economy,society and urbanization in China,the urban rail transit especially the metro system plays a vital role in our daily life.The pantograph-rigid catenary system and the current collector-third rail system are the key equipment to provide the electric energy for the operation of subway vehicles.Their service life,reliability and stability can affect the efficiency and safety of the metro to some extent.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the service capability of pantograph-catenary and current collector-third rail,in other words,the ability to keep the equipment in good working condition during the service life cycle.Considering the wear problem between carbon pantograph strip on the metro vehicle and rigid catenary contact wire,the fatigue damage problem of rigid catenary support device,and the reliability of the third rail system as the research target,the degradation mechanism of key equipment such as pantograph-catenary and current collector-third rail are deeply analyzed,and the corresponding model is established to evaluate the service capability and predict the service life.The relevant conclusions can provide guidance for the detection and maintenance of pantograph-catenary and current collector-third rail system,and provide theoretical support for making timely and reasonable maintenance decisions.Additionally,they are also of much significant for maintaining the service capacity of the entire life cycle of the pantograph-catenary and current collector-third rail system that can improve the benefits of economy and society.The main works in this paper are as follows:(1)The wear mechanism of the carbon strip on metro pantograph and the contact wire of the rigid catenary is analyzed.Considering the characteristics of the wear of pantograph and catenary in actual operation.The wear calculation models that are applicable to metro pantograph strip and rigid contact wire are established;(2)Based on the wear model of contact wire,the influence of different factors that act on the wear rate of contact wire is analyzed.The wear distribution of the contact wire between two adjacent stations is calculated.By combining the wear data of contact wire of Guangzhou metro line 2 and Beijing metro line 6,the calculation results are verified qualitatively and quantitatively.According to the analysis results,some suggestions are put forward to improve the service capability of the contact wire;(3)Based on analyzing the influence of different contact wire layout forms on thewear of the pantograph carbon strip,a method for predicting and estimating the wear profile of the carbon strip on the subway vehicle is proposed by combining with the calculation model of the wear rate of the carbon strip;(4)Concentrating on the problem of fatigue failure of the support device on rigid catenary,the random vibration fatigue analysis method and modeling process of the support device are presented,and the fatigue life of the support device is predicted with FEMFAT software,which provides a theoretical basis for the fatigue service capability research of the support device on rigid catenary;(5)The main structure and fault modes of the current collector and third rail are introduced.The simulation analysis of the dynamic response of the current collector and third rail is conducted.By establishing the fault tree of the third rail system and make reliability analysis,the weaknesses in the system are found out and some suggestions for the practical application are put forward.
