Compared with the flexible catenary, the rigid catenary system is especially suitable for utilizing in urban rail transit as its lower installation clearance, no disconnection hidden, less maintenance, etc. However, the rigid catenary’s theoretical research is still in its infancy, the application technology is not mature, and many practical engineering problems (such as pantograph-catenary arcing, electric ignition, etc.) can not apply the existing theory to solve perfectly. Based on the background, simulating the rigid catenary system is becoming more and more significant to study its dynamic problems in a theoretical level.This thesis takes a southern city subway rigid catenary-pantograph system as study object, applies the finite element software Ansys for the static analysis and the modal analysis of rigid catenary, achieves the resonant frequency and the mode, and determines the set principle of the span; Utilizing the pantograph three-dimensional mass model, constructs a pantograph-catenary coupling dynamics model through connecting the contact force with the rigid suspension, and uses contact pressure as the evaluation index of the current-receiving quality in pantograph-catenary system, implements simulation analysis of the slide contact process of the pantograph along the contact wire with the birth-death element technology, then analyzes the influences on the current-receiving quality in the pantograph-catenary coupling system from the contact wire types, the pantograph types, the train speed, the span, suspension structure equivalent stiffness and equivalent mass, pantograph head dumping, stiffness and mass, contact wire slope, and pantograph-catenary contact stiffness.The study compares the simulation results data with data measured in practice, illustrates the simulation model is reasonable; on this basis, develops the main software interface for analyzing the urban rail transit pantograph-catenary simulation data, so as to provide the reference for the catenary design and the query, comparison and analysis of pantograph-catenary simulation results.
