Handling stability is one of the most important performances in the dynamic performance of the vehicle chassis,which directly affects the safety and driving experience of the vehicle.Although China's commercial vehicle research and development started earlier,due to insufficient investment and weak foundation,it is mainly oriented to structural development.There is a large gap between the R & D technology level of dynamic performance such as handling stability and that of foreign advanced automobile companies,which has resulted in a significant gap between China's commercial vehicle dynamic performance and that of foreign products.Objective evaluation is one of the important means to develop vehicle handling stability.Most commercial vehicle companies in China have not established a comprehensive and systematic objective evaluation method for handling stability for the development and verification of product performance.Therefore,research on comprehensive and systematic objective evaluation methods for commercial vehicle handling stability is very important.The purpose of this paper is to improve the development of commercial vehicle handling and stability.The research is mainly carried out on the establishment of objective evaluation index system,objective test methods,and evaluation index extraction.The main research contents are as follows:1.Research on systematic objective evaluation index system.This article systematically sorts out the related evaluation indicators in the existing standard system and some enterprise standards,defines the evaluation classification,evaluation items,and evaluation indicators according to the development needs of commercial vehicle handling stability and vehicle dynamics theory.Based on the analysis of the dynamics meaning,the evaluation indicators are combined and simplified on the basis of ensuring the systematicness and completeness of the evaluation to form a systematic and comprehensive objective evaluation index system of commercial vehicle handling stability.2.Research on objective test methods.In order to obtain comprehensive and accurate objective evaluation indicators,this paper designs a set of commercial vehicle handling stability objective test methods based on the analysis of existing commercial vehicle handling stability objective test methods.The test method includes test conditions and characteristic physical quantities.The relevant characteristics of the vehicle are stimulated during the test,and the characteristic physical quantities are used to extract objective evaluation indicators.3.Research on index extraction methods.This article analyzes the extraction method of each evaluation index and classifies it according to the different extraction methods.For the indicators that need to be calculated and extracted,it is further classified according to the different calculation methods,and each type of calculation method is analyzed to establish a perfect set of index extraction method.4.Verification of typical test methods.In this paper,the objective evaluation index system,test methods,and index extraction methods established are verified by actual vehicle tests.Objective tests for typical operating conditions are completed.Feature physical quantities used for evaluation are collected.Objective evaluation indicators are extracted to verify the feasibility of the research method in this paper.To sum up,this article has established a comprehensive and systematic objective evaluation index system for commercial vehicle handling stability.And the test methods and index extraction methods to achieve objective evaluation,verified by real vehicle tests,The validity and feasibility of the research method are proved.
