A Research On The Application Of Narrative Design Method In Office Products Innovation

With the rapid development of the economy,social competition has been intensified.The pressure of the young is also growing.As a result,the material resources are no longer able to fulfill the mental needs of this generation.A brand new trend of the design therefore is urgently needed.The focus of product design has shifted from the functionality to the interaction process that contributed to psychological comfort and the emotional experience.Experience Economy,the leading form of the modern market environment,was taken into consideration to find a solution on how to distract the psychological pressure of office workers.By bringing them the context of experience,this subject studied the narrative design method which involves the practice of office design and the aim is to provide users with a systematical design solution.Based on the research of data and literature,this paper first introduces the concept,developments and compositions of "Narrative Design".Through the interpretation of specific design examples,an appreciation and analysis of narrative design in different areas of application has been done.A rigorous definition the "narrative design" and "affairs" has been elaborated to avoid confusion with other related design concepts.Through the user research methods,the needs of office workers have been collected.Also,based on the practical research of the "material" and "environment",the conception and subject of the design has been determined.An integration and comparison of the relevant design methods,combining theory and practice was proposed a design strategy of narrative design to promote the innovation of office product.Finally,the theoretical method has been applied to the design of product to verify the effectiveness of the design strategy.The use of Narrative Design is an innovation of product design.It can relieve the stress of the office workers both physically and psychologically.More importantly,it can wake up the young people's emotional memory and stimulate the "emotional positive energy." The product design helps to establish the theme of the story.Based on the theme,a scene platform has been built which will not only meet the needs of function but also promote an interaction between the users and office products,Benefited from this theme,a fresh and pleasant experience leading to a satisfaction thereby generated.In addition,the application of Narrative Design in the office product can be quite promising in the general product design.
