In recent years, with the continuous promotion of national and local policies, prefabricated buildings have achieved great development,As an important part of prefabricated buildings, steel structure buildings are increasingly used because of its advantages such as light weight, high strength, high degree of industrialization, short construction cycle, flexible form, and good seismic performance. However, there is relatively little research on the supporting envelope system of prefabricated steel structure buildings in China, and the connection performance, seismic performance, fire and heat insulation performance of the exterior protection system will seriously affect the use of prefabricated steel structure buildings. In order to provide an important technical basis for the popularization and application of prefabricated steel structure building, the analysis and research on the connection joints between the light concrete external wall panel and the steel frame are carried out.In this paper, through the experiment and numerical analysis, the seismic performance and failure mechanism of the steel frame external lightweight concrete composite wall panel are studied. The research contents and results are as follows:(1)Summarized the research results of related scholars on the joint connection problem between steel structure and the exterior protection wall panel, combined with the development status of prefabricated steel structure buildings in China, improved the existing wall panel connection construction technology, and proposed a new type of joint connection construction, combined with the number of connection joints and the way of wall panel displacement,5 steel frame specimens with light-weight external composite wall panel are designed.(2)five full-scale steel frame specimens with light-weight concrete external wall panel are tested with low cyclic loading. The seismic performance of the structure are evaluated according to the hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, ductility coefficient, stiffness degradation curve and equivalent viscous damping coefficient. The test results show that the failure of the wall panel is mainly concentrated around the connection joint between the wall panel and the steel frame;the connection performance of the upper joints has a greater impact on the structure performance;strengthening the connection between wall panel and steel frame can improve the seismic performance of the structure.(3)Based on the ABAQUS finite element analysis software, the steel frame structure with the light-weight concrete external wall panel is numerically analyzed.By comparing with the test results,it is found that the two results are basically the same, which proves that the finite element simulation method is correct and feasible.(4)Based on the experimental simulation, the parameter analysis of the steel frame structure with external light-weight composite wall panel was carried out,and the influence degree of steel strength, concrete strength and wall panel thickness on the overall seismic performance of the structure is further studied. The simulation results show that the steel strength has a greater impact on the lateral stiffness of the whole structure, the influence ofconcrete strength and wall panel thickness on the lateral stiffness of the whole structure is limited.
