As the demand for electricity in China continues to increase.The scale of power grids continues to expand.The identification of thermal faults in electrical equipment of substations plays a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient operation of power grids and preventing accidents.Infrared imaging technology has the characteristics of non-contact,long-distance,non-stop operation,which can identify the abnormal temperature area according to the surface temperature distribution of the equipment without touching the substation equipment,and identify the thermal fault of the equipment in the non-power-off state.This paper mainly studies the thermal fault process based on infrared imaging technology to identify substation electrical equipment:Infrared image acquisition is performed on the internal electrical equipment of the substation,and image preprocessing is performed on the collected sample images,and the steps including graying,denoising,and image enhancement.Firstly,the color infrared image is grayed out by the weighted average method;the infrared image is denoised by the algorithm combining the wavelet threshold denoising method and the median filtering method;the histogram equalization method is used to make Image enhancement processing to the infrared image.The improved K-means clustering algorithm is used to segment the image,and the infrared image is divided into three parts: background area,normal area and overheated area.Finally,the relative temperature difference method is used to identify the thermal fault point of the electrical equipment.The thermal fault identification of substation electrical equipment based on infrared imaging technology is used in the infrared non-contact temperature measurement and the rapid identification of the temperature of each region.It is used in the thermal fault identification of substation electrical equipment,Which helps locate rapidly and accurately the thermal fault spots of electrical equipment.It can effectively improve the accuracy of hot fault detection and judgment as well as can reduce labor intensity.
