The slamming damage is a main threat to the safety of ships in service,especially for the ship with large flare.The large flare angle and increasing ship speed has become the main factors that cause the bow damage of modern ships due to the slamming loads.Different from other part of hull structures,the ship bow structures contain stiffeners that are usually not perpendicular to the ship hull plate.At present,the research on the ultimate strength of stiffened plates focus more on the plates with perpendicular stiffeners,therefore,in order to meet the strength requirements of the structure and the development of larger and faster ships,it is necessary to conduct study on the ultimate bearing capacity of the stiffened plate with inclined stiffeners subjected to slamming loads,which can help improve the existing design method and provide better criteria to validate the existing structures.In this paper,the experimental,numerical and theoretical methods are adopted to investigate the ultimate strength of stiffened plates with inclined stiffeners under lateral load.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The calculated ultimate strength of stiffened plates with T stiffener and Inverted Angle are compared based on the LR's rule and DNV's rule,and the influence of the two types of stiffener with different inclined angles are analyzed.Some conclusions are drawn in designing and validating the stiffened plates with inclined stiffeners according to the above analysis.(2)The geometrical parameter analysis on stiffened plate with inclined stiffener is carried out by the method of theoretical calculation.The influences of the height of the web and other parameters on the ultimate strength of the structure are analyzed and the sensitivity of the ultimate strength to the geometric parameters can be obtained,which are the basis for suggestions on the design and improvement of stiffened plates structures.(3)The four-point bending scale tests are carried out on the stiffened plates.The finite element software is used to simulate the test scenarios,and the numerical results are compared with the test results to verify the feasibility of the FE method.(4)The numerical simulations were conducted on the single stiffened plates and multiple stiffened plates subjected to uniform loads.The influence of inclined angle,tripping bracket and deep bracket on the inclined stiffened plates was analyzed,which provided an optimization method to improve the bearing capacity of structures.
